its been the controlling bodies of this country's job to keep the people ignorant about thinking about that possibility, when lance bass being gay and mel gibsons dui being cover stories in the news. to give the feeling of "freedom" and everything being all good here, they remove even the thought of war to enter our minds.
when it comes, i predict there will be pandamonium. all the racism and religious descrimination, and ignorance, and selfish bullshit that lies under the surface of this country will explode into the streets like a volcano. fear will overcome everybody and fear alone will control them. they will have no focus, no readiness, no knowledge of nething, just fear and the poisonous behavior that fear creates.
it will be the responsibility of few to try their hardest to lead the many. and chances are, they will fail in the end.

like i said, its gonna be real interesting to watch.
i think it would be more like 9/11 where racism religious discrimination etc.. will bring people together, not explode in the streets like a volcano. i feel sorry for you anti americans if this goes down. you'll have to hide your true feelings or die.

How the hell do you not lose and not win at the same time, It's hard for me to believe that a war can be a tie, everyone looses.

Who said anything about a tie?

Are you even in the least bit familiar with military history or strategy? It's a rhetorical question Cockton, because if you were you wouldn't present yourself in this thread as such a moron.

Read from the leaders/generals of prolonged guerilla conflicts, especially those fighting an invading foreign military. Giap would be a good reference.

A simple principal of guerilla warfare: The guerilla force doesn't need to necessarily win on the field of battle; all they need to do is not lose. Survive, inflict damage, and keep fighting.

Eventually the opposition (the invading forces) will weaken/lose their resolve/buckle to domestic political pressure and retreat. Thus the guerilla force did not win the war, but it did not lose either.

The situation has become more a battle of will than a battle to see who inflicts the greatest number of casualties. American pansies don’t have the will.

The general American public whom in their great complacency and apathy will not even fight (reasonably or otherwise) for maintaining their own socio-economic status (let alone improve upon it) and thusly can not be expected to have the will to support a protracted incursion into a foreign land with significant cost (monetary, human, etc) to them.

In simpler words, a pansy being one who can not be expected to do for others what they will not even do for themselves. And American being the representation of the average person living within the U.S.A.

Im not saying the US is invinsible.. But there's no way any country could invade the US. There's WAY too much land to cover, there's WAY too many armed citizens, and there's WAY too much pride to let some country come in and take our land. It would have to be in the air. Bombs would have to be dropped. Missles would have to be fired from another country.
It would take 1/3 of the world to conquer this country.

What about government officials (and their children) who have not served in the millitary?

who said i was anti-american?

and after 9-11 was not war. war is when there are bombs going off and buildings crumbling on a daily basis. when there are soldiers going into houses and killing people in your neighborhood, and u dont know when, where, by who, or how you could die. when any second can be your last and the only thing on your list of priorities is survival. when this happens there isnt gonna be a bunch of unity and love. its not gonna be white collar corproate white guys helping poor ghetto blacks and latinos, or cooperation of any other group thats split in this country. its not gonna be a time when people want to get passed each others differences. its gonna be rich people hiding out, innocent middle eastern citizens being arrested and killed, and if anybodys coming together, itll be the poor people, and not to put up flags and rebuild buildings, but to steal or kill, to either defend their country or to take advantage of it like it has taken advantage of them for so long.

If anyone hasn't already seen it, I highly reccomend this movie:

It's over 20 years old now, but it has good actors and a relevant storyline. One of my favorites.
