"one key" meaning one key signature. so he can only play in one octave (plus 4 notes), right? or can you switch up and down on the mpc?
I'm not 100% percent sure how he did but you can easily switch up and down octaves on the mpc, he probably just mapped the notes across the 4 banks.

haha, that's fucking crazy. That's pretty insane how he got the snare to sound like that and through all the effects it does sound a lot like a guitar lead.

And as far as doing this on a midi keyboard instead, nah, I think he probably has more fun doing it on his MPC and banging the hell out of the Pads. That's kind of the whole point, play it and smash it like if it was drums. :)

Creative, but why? I'm guessin he can't play a real guitar?
lol
I don't know, either way it's interesting. I just think he goes through ALOT of work to get a guitar sound when you can get a real guitar to make the same sound...
I aint got the patience for that, but still cool

I wonder what else he does with it? He had to discover that by accident an ran with it. Sometimes the coolest stuff is born from a fluke...then fine tuned.

But that's the point, it's innovation. It's the just the fact that he could use his MPC and play it like a guitar. He found a different way to play a guitar basically. I see nothing wrong with that, it's just like using your midi keyboard to rock out to some guitar sounds. Maybe he doesn't know how to play a guitar, well atleast he can now pretty much. If he really got smart, he would create a guitar like this for handicapped people with no fingers or just stubs and they can bang their stubs on these pads.

Yeah, until you gotta strum some shit.....
I never said there was anything wrong with what he did either, why do you keep trying to debate with everybody in here? Actually don't answer that, lol
I aint trying to read your 2 page response on why people debate in forums!

I just heard a song on the radio this morning by Timbaland speaking on this Producer/Beatmaker issue in his verse. Said something like..." I'm a real producer...you just a keyboard man...I get a half a mil for my beats, you get a couple of grand" ...shit...I'm happy witha couple of C-Notes....lol.. I wonder who he was talkin bout.
