We all know Tech has many unique features about him that set him apart from other rappers. The face paint, the stage show, the "chea"'s, etc...

But he has some lyrical idiosyncrasies too. For example...

- he's the only rapper I know to use the word "bane" on just about every album

And something I noticed with 6's and 7's that I hadn't noticed before (because he didn't do it before?)...

- he uses the word "damn" as a way extend a multisyllabic rhyme in FOUR different songs.

  • "damn reverend" with "and 7's" on Delusional
  • "damn dick" with "Kansas" on He's a Mental Giant
  • "damn butt" with "stand up" on You Owe Like Pookie
  • "damn attack" with "hammer that" and the rest of the bar on Pornographic

This thread is like an echo of a conversation I had with my boy the other day. I remember how annoyed with Tech's gratuitous use of "bane" between sickology and KOD.. annoying. "Bane" and "damn" are tech's cheap corner-cutting techniques imo

Well.. over the past two or so years he kind of adopted a flow to where a lot of his sentences sound run on. He also tries to fit in as many multi-syllable words in to each bar as he can.

Heh, seems you missed the mark in interpreting Kains comment, but A for effort I guess? Besides, knowing "what's what" is a lot different than making such a ridiculous statement as the one you made. You really sound like someone that belongs over at TRTN, getting Strange Music and Tech N9ne branded all over you because you're "down for life, because Tech is like... so totally awesome, dude."
