If in the case he did turn down Aftermath's offer, and he's looking for a major label to release his album....whats the reasonings on why Aftermath ain't good enough or what he's looking for?

Especially, since he seems to be cool with both Eminem, Busta Rhymes among other West Coast rappers. And I remember him expressing interests in workin with Dre on production....???

Man, Rakim is a pioneer and to some a legend in this game. Dre and Rakims ego I believe collided in that case. Not saying Tech ain't got any creditentials, but he still ain't the "name" Rakim is/was. Besides, I feel like Tech's music is also a lot more fit for the type of shit Aftermath/Dr. Dre produces.

it dont matter about beats or production or any of that shit though.. if they dont like the deal there not gonna be like "fuck it.. its a bad deal and we know it but oh well lets sign anyway" that'd be wack

...wow, there is definately more to the story than he turned down a deal with Aftermath... You gotta think, Strange wants a deal that picks up all of Strange's artists in a package deal which in my eyes aint a bad calling if you ask me.

And you will say, "Why'd Aftermath or any label want to pick up the rest when it is Tech thats the star?"

Whenever there is the main artist that blows up, eventually the main group that, that artist was originally in is either already signed or is picked up for a later project that is pretty much carried by the main artist. But the flipside to this deal is, aint no muthafuckin' label or individual touring and hitting big places like Strange is or has. Tech and Kutt, Krizz and SS are hitting 100+ cities a year and knocking the door off its hinges. Now all they need is the indy to carry them further and get on the big venues with the hottest rappers out. It aint like other labels that just outta no where theres this group touring and aint ever done a show but hyped for their dude, these cats got they own sets, pretty well off established on a smaller scale unlike these other follow-up groups that appear outta the blue. And another thing, the albums that Kutt and SS have out already can be re-released and be some new shit. So they aint gotta spend 100,000 on making their albums. Maybe a few major beats like Dre, Storch or whatever, but that be on some single type shit...

Yall dig...
