to win a battle you can't just jump in head first talkin shit...
you gotta plan, plot, strategize....

Tech is like the sleeping dragon in this Regime beef, when he awakens he will burn them all.....

What makes you think that? I've never heard any other regime member say "regime" on their solo shit as Tech.....besides Yuk.
Let's be serious here. I can only name a few of the members and if it wasn't for Tech featured on a Regime song with them I wouldn't have ever heard of them. Are you telling me these guys actually have solo albums out? If so, I can't even begin to guess how many copies they sold. It wouldn't really be much for them to claim Regime I mean, what do they have to lose. That IS their claim to fame. Tech, on the other hand, is growing without Regime. It is cool that Tech is loyal to Regime but shouting Regime in his songs doesn't make him loyal. Trust me, I am not calling out Tech on this one, but you have to see both sides of the story. Personally, I can care less if he is loyal to Regime or not. I am just waiting for ER.

Not only does he give the Regime hella props in his songs, he has a tattoo. Getting a Regime tat seems loyal enough to me. Tech is totally a Regimer.
I am not saying that he isn't a Regime member at all. I think he is loyal to Regime, but I can see how others might think he isn't. Because he doesn't jump into the stupid beefs and bullshit like that people might think he isn't loyal.

If a rapper was crazy enough to slam Tech in a song, tech will respond, but he's not like ja rule, he doesn't have a "mouth", i'm saying he's not gonna try to go mainstream by talking shit, he is a real person, and a real superstar.

If in the case he did turn down Aftermath's offer, and he's looking for a major label to release his album....whats the reasonings on why Aftermath ain't good enough or what he's looking for?

Especially, since he seems to be cool with both Eminem, Busta Rhymes among other West Coast rappers. And I remember him expressing interests in workin with Dre on production....???
word shits fake.....

Man, Rakim is a pioneer and to some a legend in this game. Dre and Rakims ego I believe collided in that case. Not saying Tech ain't got any creditentials, but he still ain't the "name" Rakim is/was. Besides, I feel like Tech's music is also a lot more fit for the type of shit Aftermath/Dr. Dre produces.
exactly...... Rakim was just impatient..... & wanted to throw together a record........ dre saw bigger steps.

Pac already did it.

QD3 was really the only known/high listed producer that Pac worked with on the The 7 Day album. The rest of the album was produced by C list producers. Just thought I'd share.

Yeah... But Rakim was too old school to even pop like he did. He wouldnt gain a new fanbase at all... Just the Digital Underground, Skee-Lo, Full Force fans. Like I've said, Rakim isnt raw at all, he really aint done what peoples said. Its just been heard 100's of times in interviews and people follow suit, but cant name one Rakim song nor album...

That's pretty ignorant to say...Rakim and Eric B. were doing their thing on the East Coast while Dre and NWA were blowing up the West Coast.

Sure Rakim wouldn't grab a whole lot of new fans working with Aftermath, but he would have made dope music and that's what it's all about right? The Music? Tons of rappers have borrowed from Rakim's "old school" style and garnered great mainstream success....see Nas.

I dont know where I'm going with this and I have to run....but just because you aren't feeling his style or whatever doesn't mean it can't work and sound good to other people.

And if you cannot name one Rakim song or album you don't fully know or care about hip hop roots.

the east cost is real. public enemy, immortal technique, non-phixion

then you got paris on the west coast and tech n9ne in the middle.

but as far as mainstream goes, i like the west coast sound better. east coast mainstream is... well... i dont own one single album

but ive probably heard one rakim song in my life. sue me.

C'mon now... Whos really gonna buy a Rakim album. No one bought his last one. Of course he is being ripped for lyrics and shit, but he aint no iller than Bushwick Bill... Actually, I still have a tape of his and I listened to it way back in the day. Didnt feel that shit... Listened to it today, still nada... I of course know my Hip Hop roots. I am a KRS fan really, but thats neither here nor there... We all know that there prolly aint 10 people at one time on this whole planet that even thinks of Rakim at the same time when they hear any music. It was a short lived title that people followed and heard from Fat Joe or Cannibus or somebody, everyone thought that it was right and people followed suit.

Now, when I say that about Rakim... I could be sitting on a Porch in a heated debate about music and there are twelve niggas... wel one nigga say Rakim was the greatest, then every other nigga starts screaming the same shit. I'd bet twenty dollars to any nigga that can recite one Rakim verse. Lets just say I keep my money. Cats cant speak for themselves. Everyone gets their 15 mins of fame. And Rakim is no exception...

If you don't know about Eric B. and Rakim then how can you fully know about hip-hop roots? Another post that made you look like a dumbass. Better luck with the next one.
