TECH N9NE room on Soulseek

i've created a TECH N9NE room for all of you soulseek users (if you don't have soulseek get it at http://www.slsknet.org)

Everybody who has a gang of rare Tech stuff, song, videos, etc. can hop in and we can browse other people's files at will (assuming everyone has it set to where anyone can download).

Fire up souleek, right click on the room list and refresh and the TECH N9NE room should appear or right click and "join room". Just remember that the room name is CASE SENSITIVE (that's why i made it all caps)

Also, don't forget to autojoin the room once your'e in. Right click anywhere in the room window on the left and select "Toggle Room Autojoin"

hmm, cant find the channel in the list on soulseek, but if you want to set something up on DC++ (Direct Connect Program) for Tech N9ne unreleased tracks, get back to me on that. There are already hubs in DC++ that offer unreleased material, so if you want the link to any of our rap hubs or anything just ask.... peace

you might have to refresh the room list...right click in the room list box and refresh. they usually don't show rooms thath have less than 20 people in them unless you refresh

if you don't find it that way then right click and go to "create room". type in TECH N9NE (exactly....it's case sensitive) and if the room is already created it will take you there. otherwise it will create it

i might not show up because nobody is in there. when everyone leaves the room is deleted. that's why i have it set to autojoin the room when i log on...if it didn't exist it automatically creates it for me when i fire up soulseek

i dont know if its better... i think its only for music... on kazaa you could dl other stuff too. but i dont know.. i hardly ever use these programs

you can download ANYTHING...whatever files are in your shared folder

there isn't a way to search for videos or mp3s specifically. like if you wanted to download the Slacker video you would have to type in "tech n9ne - slacker" and the mp3 AND video would come up.

definitely the program to use to find hip-hop tracks, especially less mainstream stuff. and i've never downloaded a corrupt file like you do all the time with Kazaa...

ive never downloaded anything corupt either, but i havent downloaded much either. but, one thing to watch out for, a lot of files i have noticed have a LONG wait to get them. some things i have seen have had 500+ peeps waiting to download the file. if this happens, and you really want that fille, or cant find another person with it (yes, you can search for the same file availiable from other people) just leave it connected for the day and do whatever you have to do. i leave it connected when i go to work, and come home later. the file is usually done then
