START THE PROMOTIONAL PUSH!!!!!!!! they even got the video for "the anthem" from 99' at the end of the article posted. now thats wassup. now who murdered that track???

Tech N9ne Prepares To Sell 'A Milli'

June 13th, 2008 | Author: Jake PaineKansas City emcee Tech N9ne has remained a chart contender throughout his career, most of which has been spent on independent labels. After recently touring with Paul Wall on the Fire & Ice Tour [click to read], as well as gearing up to co-release Ill Bill's [click to read] highly-anticipated album Hour of Reprisal [click to read], Tech N9ne will be releasing his Killer album July 1st. According to Tech N9ne's publicist, the album is projected to soon push the veteran over the million mark for his career, a feat reported to be a first.
Although the rapper would not confirm the precise amount needed to sell of Killer to reach the one million benchmark in independent sales, Tech's effort from last year, Misery Loves Company, sold a reported 67,000 copies. Catalogue highlights include 2001's Anghelic, which was released on the now defunct Jcor Records and 2002's Absolute Power, which scanned over 250,000 units, released on the artist's own Strange Music imprint.
Killer, which includes a mock-up of Michael Jackson's Thriller cover, features appearances from Ice Cube, Scarface [click to read] and Paul Wall.

Tech N9ne has been releasing music since 1999. He began his career signed to Quincy Jones' Qwest label, working with Jones' producer son QDIII. In the years since, the independent artist has toured and recorded extensively, also serving as a member with Yukmouth and Dru Down in The Regime. The rapper's most mainstream success came from 1999's Sway & Tech single "The Anthem" alongside numerous other talents, including Eminem and RZA. The video is posted below.

shit i just realized yesterday in of xxl's articles posted they even talk about "killer" for a little bit. i wouldn't have known if i didnt click the article talking about jeezy and others. surprising. good promo, but not good enough to take notice like hiphopdx so instead of making another thread imma post what was posted on xxl here:

Veteran rapper Tech N9ne is set to release his new independent project, Killer, July 1. The album features collaborations with Ice Cube, Scarface, and Paul Wall, among others. The LP will be the second notable project of the year for the rapper. Earlier this year, in April, Tech N9ne put out his DVD, “The Pyschumentary,” a visual narrative of his life in his native Kansas City.—XXL staff

heres the link to the XXL "hiphop roundup" article that mentions "killer." it would've been better if they mentioned TECH N9NE in the headline so ppl would take notice instead of just young jeezy. but the jeezy fans that checks out the article will have to read the info about tech n9ne so thats good promo in a way.

"The Running Killer Info/Interview Thread," pretty much what you people are asking for, no? *Blinks*

Yes, this means his 1 millionth copy sold independently, combining all his album sales. It's not even a new claim, a news report on www.therealtechn9ne.com made the statement months ago, I think it was in the announcement of the Fire & Ice tour.

yeah go on and do it, add it to the thread... we gotta keep the online promotion and the hype going on til july 1st. im sure theres alotta tech fans that don't post on the strange forum but reads and checks out all the latest info to see what the hype is all about with this album... instead of seeing the random bs posts in certain threads we might as well keep talkin about the album and every bit of new info we can get.... it will keep the curious fans and new fans interested, even the stalkers on here.
