yeah go on and do it, add it to the thread... we gotta keep the online promotion and the hype going on til july 1st. im sure theres alotta tech fans that don't post on the strange forum but reads and checks out all the latest info to see what the hype is all about with this album... instead of seeing the random bs posts in certain threads we might as well keep talkin about the album and every bit of new info we can get.... it will keep the curious fans and new fans interested, even the stalkers on here.
I don't think people are really worried about the members of this forum buying the cd
the promotion focus should be spread out more outside of this

yah your right. I wasn't all sure about the whole record label changing so I didn't want to get all into detail about something I wasn't completely sure about. I wouldn't consider Island record a major record label though.

Soundscan uses actual sales figures, so one sale counts as one sale. RIAA however counts a unit twice if it has multiple discs and the total time is over 120 minutes I believe.

Lil' Wayne Officially Breaks A Millie, Debuts At No. 1
Wednesday, 18 June 2008 01:56

New Orleans rapper Lil' Wayne has sold over one million albums in his opening week. According to Billboard, Tha Carter III will officially debut on Nielsen's SoundScan tomorrow morning just over the million mark; the first album to do so since 50 Cent's 2005 project, The Massacre.

Killer is a double disc so each sale will count as 2 for soundscan purposes. So if tech sells 500,000 killer will be considered a platinum album. this rule only applies to albums that are in fact double disc albums (bonus DVDs and bonus CDs dont count). so tech n9ne could possibly have a platinum album with killer.

Im sure theres the few of us that will account for our pre order and will go to the store on day 1 and buy your other copy instead of waiting for it in the mail. So if each counts as 2 im good for atleast 4.

Could this all be the reason that Tech decided to put together a double album in the first place? He knows he's guaranteed a certain number of sales every time (as judged by the MLK album), so all he does is drop a double album and bam.. Double your sales immediately.
