They did a great job by making sure this album didn't sound like a basic bay area album ...

However ...

The album sounds like an attempt at making a really basic mainstream album. Too many tracks with those recycled Neptusesque drum patterns from 3 years ago, you got the basic pretty guitar beat for the 'Love to Love' track, and a bunch of fillers. These are just my opinions though. And if you know me, you know I don't like anything. I DID like how they flipped that "The Watcher Pt II" beat though. That was clean.

Just my opinion. I'm becoming a fan again so y'all might see more of this whether you like it or not

peace

It's actually a good sign for The Team if the basic bay area fan doesn't like this album because it means they're doing something different. We all know the basic bay area music fan doesn't like anything that strays too far away from what he/she is used to. If it sounds too mainstream, most bay fans automatically turn their backs on it - but yet they want all of their favorite bay rappers to "blow up".

Fans are funny

MrPeete..you got it homie....alot of bay listeners are addicted to not diggin anything...very cocky attitudes when it comes to music for whatever reason...I don't know...it's like most cats out here say "I don't listen to no east coast shit, fuck that crunk shit...I only listen to the bay" but when some new shit comes out which has been the hottest bay shit in the last 7 years......niggas is like that's shit's weak....it's this....it's that...they sold out...they mainstream...etc....always..it never fails...I dug the Federations shit...i dug Frontlines shit....I dig the Teams shit...it's all brand new bay shit that don't sound like the old shit at all and it's the knock...so maybe it's just a difficult transition for the bay fan to grasp just yet...I guess give it till the end of next year and see if things change out here.

TURF TALK IS RAW BUT THE TEAM AND THE FEDERATION IS JUST GARBAGE TO ME, I'LL STICK TO THE "REGULAR" SOUNDING BAY SHIT, THATS THE REASON I LISTEN TO BAY RAP IN THE FIRST PLACE, AND I BUY MOST BAY RAPPERS THAT IM FAMILIAR WITH AND BUY ABOUT 3 CDS A MONTH.

the regualr soundin bay shit ain't doing it homie.....it's a transition going on...you betta come on in....what's funny is.....alot of niggas out here like myself been on some other shit allthis time....and cats always was like "nigga you sound like you from_____ or that ain't no bay shit" and it's 2004 and it's finally time....this transition won't be pretty because it's still alot of folks out here that are stuck in 1993....and I mean that's all good but don't make it hard for the sales of the new cats by saying something is wack when they shit just dropped...
