How do you have the subs wired? You can have them at .5, 2, or 8 ohms if they are the 2 ohm voice coils.
You probably connected the remote/antenna wire to the wrong wire. It turns the amp off when the car is off so it needs to be connected to the blue wire in the back of your deck. That wire shuts off when the car is off and tells the amp to shut down so if you connected it to a wire that is hot all the time then the amp will never shut down. You can easily check with a volt meter when the car is off and the amp is on if your getting 12 volts than thats your problem.

For the sub you should have it hooked up to "Power Antenna Wire: Green" and that should be connected to 3 Remote Turn On Lead (Blue/White). Other than that you just need to connect everything to the corresponding power wire, ground wire and speaker wire. You might want to try and play with the settings on the deck too and make sure that you have the sub on. If you have sub level controls (where you can control the sub settings from the headunit) you should try and get all of those right like the low pass filter and it should have a bass level or something similar. With those subs and that amp your system should pound. I had one type R and it would knock my rearview mirror off.

my stereo deck is a alpine cdm-7871
my stereo FM/AM works fine
but when i put in a cd, the stereo button lights go out
and no noise comes out the speakers but it shows on the
stereo screen display that its playing a cd

sounds like u got ripped off, did u get it all from one place??? and when u lookin at watts make sure its r.m.s. watts kuz the word "watts" can be decieveing... match up the r.m.s wattage. it could say 50 billion "watts" and b hella weak

What kid of box? Sealed, Ported, Volume of Box, etc.
Amp Should Be Bridged, Subs should be wired in parallel for 1 ohm.
Also check the crossover settings on your amp, should either have a high pass, low pass or a knob you turn to set your cut off points.
There are a lot of factors that effect your bass.
