Remember when it was revealed they were using an ingredient in their bread that is also used in making rubber shoes and yoga mats?

'Shoe Rubber' Chemical Removed From Subway Bread Found In Nearly 500 Common Foods | The Huffington Post
Right, exactly. They claim they got rid of it but CLEARLY something is off with their bread still. No other bread magically shrinks with a little bit of refrigeration. No other bread had such a weird chemically taste then Subway. It's just plain nasty.

That was around the same time it got exposed that Gatorade and Powerade had some chemical in it that was patented as a flame retardant lol it's crazy the type of shit they put in food and the FDA deems "safe".
Ah man, didn't know about this one. I usually fuck with Gatorade/Powerade too when I want something more than water. I knew it was bad just because of the sugar, but this makes it worse.

I used to make my own "Gatorade" type drinks, I would get this powder from an all natural store and the coloring was Red simply from beets. It was very good and tasted just like red Gatorade, but with only 1/5th the sugar. I should do that again. Sometimes water just isn't good enough and I don't fuck with soda.

Their flatbread is suspect too. I'm thankful for this thread because now I don't see myself ever eating at Subway again, even though I rarely do these days anyway.

I started fucking with flavored seltzer/sparkling waters heavy when I quit soda.

Lime Perrier, a grip of LaCroix flavors, and Lime Crystal Geyser.

Something about that carbonation when it's ice cold is extra refreshing.

bet they ain't the only ones

an example of this would be Lee's Sandwiches

Truth is if they are a considerable corporate entity, they have lawyers to figure out how to cheat consumers and have no problem taking a nominal hit later for huge profits now.
lol at Jersey Mike's or yada yada is okay and Subway is trash. This thread proves what I'm talmbout...

The correct term is the cost of doing business :siccness:

I fucks with subway sweet chicken, maybe 2 times a month.

Lol at acting like subway is some top notch spot to eat, its a place that makes subs as quick as mcdonals puts out shitty food.

Anyone who walks into subway thinking they're getting healthy food is retarded.

Nah man, it's not about that. No one has ever acted like Subway is some top of the line health food. Even though that is how they market themselves but that's a different topic. It's about straight up lying to their customers. It's unethical.

Fast food is fast food. Everyone gets what they pay for. But at no time is it OK for us consumers to be lied to. Corporations need to be held accountable. If they tell me I'm getting chicken breast for money, I expect chicken breast in return, not 43℅ chicken parts and 57℅ filler/other. Doesn't matter what the cost is.

Was just about to post this... +1 for LaCroix! and the Arrowhead sparkling water aint bad either. Hate their regular water, tastes like tap water. But Arrowhead bottles tend to be a lot bigger than the other brands so you get more bang for your buck. Perrier Green Apple is bomb too. I can't stand sweet ass drinks anymore, I always water down gatorade or juices. Grape juice I always water down. Dasani lemon is supposed to be good too, about to get a pack of that after this LaCroix runs out.

Without talking about planned obsolescence -- when you buy anything on the cheap you should take into account the cost of manufacturing, the wages of the workers, the profit of the manufacturer, the costs of shipping, and the profit from the reseller. By the end of it you should have an idea of the quality of the shit you are getting.

Some people can never understand why a $1 cup of coffee is not the same as a $3 cup nor why a $15 coffee grinder is not the same as a $60 one

I only get tuna at subway...I'll stick with that
I actually had that for lunch today i get it every once in awhile...

But those "chicken breast" sandwiches are all the way out. I used to get them sometimes but that chicken is so fucking bland, and the texture was always off so i knew it wasn't just chicken
