What? we ain't rich or none of my fam's is, we all strugglin like a mafucka. It's tough when ya been raised on wel-fare your whole life and I don't see any laos, pacific islanders,filipinos or cambodians stackin shits (well maybe filipinos). It's all the chineses, japaneses and vietnameses are the one's stackin, cuz they got businesses. And why is it when you see an asian person, he's asian? I mean there's like over 20 different ethnicities in the asian race and when someone see's a oriental/asian person he's asian not chinese or filipino but asian. And when people see mexicans and mexicans are an ethnic group and people don't refer to mexicans as there racial group which are latins. When people see a latin dude on the street he's a mexican dude, when you see a korean, vietnamese, chinese or jap dude on the street, he's asian. I don't know, just had to get that off my chest, weird, I guess cuz all latins in cali are mexicans and all asians in cali aren't one ethnicity, it's 20 ethnicities. Guess I just answered my own question.

you're right... but that's not the case with alot of these people. alot of people do it as a 'fad'... i've came across very few filipinos that lived under impoverished conditions.... these particular people wouldn't need the protection if they didn't join the gang in the first place...

us filipinos look different than what people stereo type us to look like.. our household incomes vary from family to family, it's not like we are all poor, middle class or rich.. we sometimes look chinese, hispanic, black and samoan.. there are your super snooty rich filipinos, your wannabe gangster ones, your real gangster niggas, your drug addicts, your politicians, your doctors and nurses, your bank employees, your crystal meth suppliers, the ones that steal your car, the ones that offer you food if you go to their house, we are everything you could ask for, just like many other ethnicities..
and ofcourse the ones that get recognized the most are always the dumb ones that people recognize, no one ever recognizes a filipino doing thangs or what not...
