bay artist arent on sound scan cuz they dont even sell 5,000 albums like fab his cd was big as fuck but he didn't even sell 10,000 cuz niggas download shit

My Nigga Told Me That "The Jacka Artist" Sold Over 100,000... I wonder if its true.. I mean it don't seem too outragous but the number I heard in total was far more then that.. I wonder if Frank can confirm that??

yeah but you aint gettin the exposure that sellin 1 million on a major gets you, and thats more important if you ask me, because you will make waaaaayyyy more on show money if more people are exposed to your music. you will make a lot more per unit sold independently, but you wouldnt be gettin close to the possible millions you would get from show money.

After I posted this i got a lot of calls from artist and they asked me to not post there numbers. But dont believe the hype a few cats out here are doing well in sales but most are not. Dont get me wrong selling a few thousand units is great in the indie world. Please stop lyin about sales. Fab, Quinn, Keak, Jacka and a few others are selling over 10,000 but most cast never break 10,000 out here.

because if a dude been claiming he sold 30, 40 100 thousand, then you figure he made anywhere from a 150 thousand to damn near a million dollars. believing he balling like that gives him more notoriety and shine and that helps sales and show money. when the truth is exposed that takes away a lot of shine. but hell barry gordy admitted that he exaggerated motown numbers. if it sold a 100 thou he would claim gold
