No one, except 12-18 y/o females even listens to Soulja Boy's music!

I'm sure dude is witty, comical, and has catchy one-liners in his songs. It takes more than that to be a lyricist though, IMO. A lyricists has to be versitile, able to adapt to any situation, whether it be spittin' over a different type beat (i.e. different genre of music), wordplay, connection with the audience, SUBSTANCE, etc.

unfortunately thats not true. i got a friend in his 30s that was blasting some solja boy in his whip lol. i guess he likes to listen to it for the beats because he has a good system so he listens to shit like yung joc and solja boy.

Theres actually some older hood niggas that listen to soulja boy too. Many people dont like soulja boy music but he still does have a big amount fan base tehres no denying that,. so his career is far from over he wont be going no where for a long ass time he only 20 too.


in this day in age mofos like club rappers long as the beats tight.

Generally I would agree with you.. But honestly I really dont think he will be around in 5 years. His style is too generic and not catchy enough. ANY dude can make music like his, there is nothing that sticks out about him...

I can almost 100% gaurantee you he will be a thing of the past within 5 years. If it even takes that long.

souls of mischief bring that real hip hop, like back in the day type shit jazzy hip hop and lyrically some dope pplz..soulja boy is just a corporation basically a persona that is run by corporate america...he makes songs for the kids and thats how its gunna be..he hasnt even been relevant lately so who cares.....

souls of mischief were gone for a minute and now are back and still have the same feel that they had back in the day...

Hood niggaz listen to Soulja Boy? Now there's an oxymoron if I ever heard one. I never got into his music and still can't. Ah well. My loss, I guess. I didn't say his career was over.
