whats goin on w/ em? i was on HBO's site last night and it dont say nothing about it returning. --- did i miss something?.... i heard a rumor that they were gonna make a movie and it was gonna be on ABC network. anyone?

yep i own season 1-3 and i finally was able to catch some season 4 thanks to a free hbo preview on demand i was at it all weekend catchin eps.......thats the hands down best show ive seen it like takes me waway form reality for an hour or so...........

Sopranos signed on for a final season, Gandolfini signed and everything, but to avoid overexposure they're waiting a year from the end of season 5 to make season 6. This season is only going to be 10 episodes...and it's unlikely Tony will die or go to jail because they're talking about a sopranos movie.

I used to love the Sopranos until I read Joe Pistone's book on the mob and heard how unrealistic the show is.

A&E just paid for the rights to air the re-runs at 2.5 mil per episode.

Those will start in fall of 2006 once the sopranos is done for on HBO.

I believe he's talking about The Way of the Wiseguy by Joe Pistone. I just finished reading that a few weeks ago. Its pretty interesting. It shows how un-glamorized the mob lifestyle really is.

He said if you want to know how the moblife really works watch "Goodfellas," and "Mean Streets" and to stay away from "The Godfather."

apparently they've been recording alternate dialog the whole life of the show so they can "tone it down" for cable TV. mostly it means no titties (shame cuz that Russian chick is the shit) and different words in place of the fucks, etc.

Well I'm not sure about it portraying mob-life realistic or unrealistic, I know in a few interviews Henry Hill has said he feels Sopronos portrays it perfect and Joe Pistone has said in many radio interviews that the show is on point & How it gives him the chillz.


It's enetertainment too me. But take it how u may
