i was one of the very privelaged to attend the service and burial of Andre and first thing im gonna say is fuck that bitch from the times herald...she was ampin people up just to get a negative story...the service was beuatiful and didnt need all the negative press....but to my story....Like so many in the crowd, when the casket was finally lowered and we were dropping flowers i couldnt help but shed tears...but the loacation where he is buried is at the very top of a hill in oakland and the view is of the whole bay area...so please believe Mac Dre is in his rightful spot...he went out on top of the game and gonna stay on top....overlooking the entire bay area...so whenever you look up...know that that the King of the Bay, Andre Hicks is lookin down smiling at all his family,friends and fans...

A Note Wanda Wrote in the Funeral Obituary:

Yes, I know this is a sad day but those of you who know me and my son truly undersatnd that we do not want you to be sad, at least not for long. Andre in some way touched us all. He was kind and giving the most. Some would say "TOO" giving, but that is what he chose to do in his life. He made us laugh and we said he was crazy with his rap lyrics that the fans could not get enough of.

Andre's mission in life was to rap and write songs and to open doors for young people who also wanted realize their dreams in the music business. These things he indeed accomplished, and after all, isn't that what life is all about, understanding our mission and living it everyday. Days, weeks and months are not a promise to us, so were your dreams. Thank God for family and friends and your love. Thank you all for you loving support, and God Bless You.

and i know he his smiling down on us beacuse wed it was raining all day and when we went for the lowering of the casket the clouds broke and the sun came out for the 30 mins we were out there...tell me somethin special didnt happen!!!

damn reading that part right there made me think. what do yall think about it? dre's career shot way up there recently. the new material was up there with that thizzelle washington cd. but that cd really got popular after the next 4 releases when a few of the songs got play on the radio. i remember the first time hearing thizzelle dance on kmel. i was like damn, they hella late, but fuck it, better late than never. wanda said on the radio that dre always wanted to be a rapper since he was a little kid. he got to be what he wanted. got caught up with that romp gang stuff in the early 90s. at the lowest point in his career he stayed true to his goals. and in 2000+ he really bounced back from the negative shit in the past. thats a damn shame how it had his passing had to happen at the peak (this would have been the bottom of the peak because dre kept on coming with crazy and new shit that kept the fans wanting more) of his career. he did what he wanted to do and made the best of it. i dont know dre personally, but from a fan's point of view, mac dre lived life to the fullest and DID THE DAMN THANG!!!

I can dig it, I went to a funeral earlier this month and the same thing happened. It was a gloomy day as soon as we hit Tacoma to the burial sight the sun came out. That means your dude was shining down on you all. Keep your head up boo. This situation has affected many. There will be times that you see or hear something or someone that reminds you of dre. This will be hard at first, but just remember what his mom said "Dre would not want us all to be sad for long." May god bless you Cut Throat and your crew. Stay out of trouble!!!
