haha.. its been like that for many months now.. it prevents other sellers trying to steal my customers and selling the shit I auctioned off for an equal or lower price outside of eBay.

BTW, dumb ass feedbacks similar to the ones that I rec'd is the MAIN REASON that I don't leave any feedbacks first. If someone leaves a dumb ass one, they will get a dumb ass one back! Retalliation is a bitch!

I fell ya, I do the same thang. I refuse to leave feedback for the same reason. I've been getting these dumb mofo's leaving F'd up feedback too. I had this foo' leave me feedback talking about the "cd broke...", but to top that off...he filed a claim with Pay Pal talking about he didn't get it. Go figure that. This Mofo, said he didn't get it, but said it was broken. Not matter what...this B is lying. P.S. I started that private listing too, because it keeps people from talking to your customers. They be like "don't buy his Shhh, come check me out" or "Don't buy his Shhh" and then the same mofo who said don't buy it, discouraged mofo's from buying...then his slick ass buy's it for way cheap, cuz he scared errybody else. These Mofo's are scandelous!!! Oh yeah I'm trying to quit cursing, if you can't tell.

yep, i never leave feedbacks first anymore, learned my lesson a while back. interesting about the private listings, i thought most people that did that before were selling bootlegs but now notice a lot more people doin it that way. i'll probably start doin it too.

1. I always look at people that set their auctions to private differently, because they can easily get folks to up their auctions.
2. This is the first time I hear about people stealing customers by telling them not to buy from one seller & instead buy from them (I never experienced it, nor anyone I know :/). Most of these guys are Japanese folks & they don't really talk to people outside of Japan, and most importantly they don't give a fuck about the price, they'll get it no matter what...

It can happen, but that's old shit and eBay is on top of that old trick like flies on shit.

I think you misread my reasoning.. let me restate why I set my auctions to private. The reason why I set it on private is to prevent other sellers on eBay from selling a similar cd at the same price or possibly a little bit lower outside of eBay. Believe me, it happens.

I don't know if you ever use eBay's "second chance offer" option, but I constantly do. If you have more than one cd available of a particular title and would like to sell them to the second or third highest bidder at their price, then you can easily do so through the second chance offer. If an outside seller e-mails the second or third highest bidder to buy the same cd then I have less chances in selling the extra cds to the other bidders.
