i rented the movie from blockbuster.. i wasnt aware that there were two versions, a tone down version and a super violent version, and i had rented the toned down version.. but since i was unaware that the violence was much milder, i was anticipating some crazy violent and bloody scenes.. man i was kinda nervous watching this shit, i was high off hella brownies, had taken hella kief and hash bong rips, and had smoked some chewy blunts, so i was WAY HIGH.. and after we had got back from the blockbuster, we decied to just watch the trailer one more time before starting the actual movie.. and when man, all those drugs and ichi the killer, did not make a good combination... haha..

theres no way i could handle watching the real version.

Yeah, we got that shit at the Hollywood Video that I work at, but it is EXTREMLEY edited. The real version is way over the top when it comes to violence. I seen the real version back in Humboldt when I was going to school, they have the independent video stores in college towns and shit. Anybody know of some independent video stores that carry real shit in the East Bay?

Oh yeah, by the way, check out "Ricky-Oh" Its another over the top violent film, but more humorous.

Just a heads up, they are making a preqeul to Ichi the killer. Only problem is it is not directed by Takashi Miike, and their is no Kakihara. Its about Ichi's childhood and all that.

Don't sleep on asian films, cuz as far as I'm concerned, they are coming out with movies that shit on the cliche american films out today. South Korea even has some hot ass films.

shit, u can rent that shit on at blockbuster, but all the gory scenes are blocked out. u can also buy the movie at suncoast, the asian version, so shits fully there...one of the most gory movies i've ever seen. definitley creepy as well.

if u've seen this movie, also check out battle royale.
