I've been all over Long Beach. My sister used to stay in Long Beach...not on the East Side (she's in Seal Beach now), but we ended up out there quite a few times. Used to cop records @ V.I.P on E. PCH. Been from MLK, Atlantic, Willow to Lakewood, Bellflower, etc. etc. Not much activity out there on my part, but I've been there. Didn't go walk the streets or nothin' like that, I know my place, haha. Same with L.A. I've been all over the place, but I have managed to stay out of spots that would get me killed because I know better. I had my boy from Monrovia with me down there, and he had to call his dad in his old hood to tell the cats out there that we were rollin' through.
I try to stay in cool spots while down there these days though. I remember one HUGE difference between So Cal. and Northern Cali is, when we were out there passing out CD's in traffic, EVERYBODY popped that shit in and gave us immediate feedback. There was a police chase down sunset, so we were all just posted on the strip going nowhere...hangin' out the car tossin' shit to people. Out here, they would toss that shit in the back seat and not even take the time to check it. I have a lot of love for L.A. 'cause L.A. has been nothin' but cool to me.
This is not me bragging, this is just me saying that if you respect where you're at, more often than not cats aren't going to fuck with you. UNLESS of course you're in a place you have no business being.

Yeah, I know exactly where that's at...he used to stay with a couple of his patnas from the Dub but a bunch of them stay over on the west now. He's tryin to move to the "real" ES of Long Beach now, over by El Dorado Park and Milliken. He's got a one year old and it's just too much bullshit over there for him where he's at.
