How disenfranchised and demoralized will this make people that have their hopes up?

Given the response to losing the last two major presidential elections, i.e. whining, shoula-coulda-woulda, sore loser, and crybabyness.

Will things change?

Or will people’s inevitable harsh fall be cushioned by the media retooling and then refocusing the fantasy at elections in ’08? Just as it has been done since ’04.

It doesn’t seem to bode well for the radical left theory of people getting pushed so far, then getting fed up, then radically acting. Rather, it seems to reinforce the idea that you can push people around and dash their hopes regularly as long as you can refocus their attention on something else, even if it is just as futile.

Here’s to voting. And here’s to watching the suckers get suckered again.

^^ Were you planning on voting Democrat anyway?

I find it hard to believe if you were. People like you seem to either not vote or be too extreme to align yourself with one particular party, especially Democrat or Republican.

What will voting do for us honestly, many people who said, you're lazy ass never voted for Kerry, the hell do they know. He would of been in the same predicament as Bush, maybe even worse.

How does this answer my question? How will the democrats control of the house or senate help me?

I'm not a democrat, so I couldn't tell you. And I don't know enough about you to give you the standard line that would fit your particular situation.

It's about people who believe the Democrats control of the House or Senate could help them or others or the country in general. (since you don’t believe they can, then the situation doesn’t apply to you) Those people that have their hopes up for a change that ain't gunna come. What are they going to do? Same response as the previous times or something different; when reality slaps them in the face all over again?

Yet you can tell me people will become disenfranchised and demoralized? OK...how will the republicans control of the house or senate not help me?

And I don't know enough about you to give you the standard line that would fit your particular situation.
Sure you do. You just said this,"I find it hard to believe if you were. People like you seem to either not vote or be too extreme to align yourself with one particular party, especially Democrat or Republican", but now you're claiming you don't know enough about me to give me a standard that would fit me?

It's about people who believe the Democrats control of the House or Senate could help them or others or the country in general.
How are these people saying it will help them?

since you don’t believe they can, then the situation doesn’t apply to you)
I thought you just said you didn't know enough about me?!?!

Those people that have their hopes up for a change that ain't gunna come. What are they going to do? Same response as the previous times or something different; when reality slaps them in the face all over again?
Who knows. I don't know enough about them to give you the standard line that would fit their particular situation.

Then why are you in this thread? Other than, of course, to hyper quote every other line of text typed in an attempt to make it as unappealing for others to read as possible? I'm sure you can find some better way of arguing than with this bastardized socratic method of yours.

I didn't tell you anything about people becoming disenfranchised and demoralized, I asked a question. Too bad you didn't quote that line; you might not have missed the obvious punctuation.

I don't know enough about your situation to give you the standard democratic line. Your religious and ideological leanings are what gave you away, but they don't say anything overtly about your socio-economic status, which is what the standard democratic line would rely on.

I believe a more important question would be why did you even make this thread. However, is your question rhetorical or would you like an answer?

Other than, of course, to hyper quote every other line of text typed in an attempt to make it as unappealing for others to read as possible?
Well, when you really look at it, the thread is quite unappealing anyway. I mean yeah, I posted in it, but this is the typical mcleanhatch type thread -- very convuluted and often made to promote and serve conservative purple kool-aid.

I'm sure you can find some better way of arguing than with this bastardized socratic method of yours.
Damn, thats a pretty good one! You don't mind if I borrow that line do you?

I didn't tell you anything about people becoming disenfranchised and demoralized, I asked a question. Too bad you didn't quote that line; you might not have missed the obvious punctuation.
Well, you had some other typo's going on in the thread ("shoula" is not a word), so can you blame me for missing a punctuation mark?

I don't know enough about your situation to give you the standard democratic line. Your religious and ideological leanings are what gave you away, but they don't say anything overtly about your socio-economic status, which is what the standard democratic line would rely on.
Wouldn't my religious and ideological leanings be more conservative? So if the standard democratic line would rely on knowledge of someones socio-economic status what is the purpose of this thread, and are you implying all democrats are whining crybabies?

Most domestic progressive politics are determined in the Supreme Court which is nominated by the President and confirmed by congress. If the dems won the elections in 04' things would look a little different. That's one reason amoung thousands to vote.

How many independents won? 2 senate ? 0 house? lmao, amerikans will never learn.

Hopefully people will see that things will continue to get worse, despite a Democratic majority and will start to question the two party system. We'll see.
