So, if Baby Bash becomes a "star" (superstar, crossover, mtv/trl, nelly-status) will that be the catalyst to "bringing back the bay" that everyone's been talking about ?

Will the potential crossover appeal of B.B. cause other labels to come scouting out the Bay Area for that next big talent?

If that were the case, would that mean that the multitude of rappers (many of whom complain they can't get noticed because KMEL won't give them any shine, among other excuses) yearning for some recognition will finally get their just do ?

For years, it's been said on BART that all it takes is one person to break through and make it huge - and then everyone else in the bay will blow up too. What if that happens with B.B. and nobody else from NorCal elevates beyond their current status ?

Should that be the case, what then will be the excuse? Will it be said "Oh he brought recognition to Houston and not the Bay that's why we still aren't blowing up" ?

Just thought I'd ask.

I hope they check out Baby Beesh and Jay Tee "Velvetism" because that's one of the best albums ever released. We all know he's got a TIGHT catalog of released material, so if the fans dig him enough who knows, they could catch on to Jay Tee and others. That's how I got hooked on Bay Area music back in the day. It was E-40 and Too SHort..... then I'd hear people on their albums and go buy the Celly Cel's and the B-Legit's. Basically I just wanna see some good artists that I've been following for years get some recognition.

As for the "Bay Area" I doubt it will do shit.... but you never know and one thing is for sure, Beesh's exposure can't hurt it.

bottom line....beesh don't owe us shit. beesh is doing what the industry never does for us and that is working & focusing on beesh. the excuse cats will use is that, he's a buster for not reppin for us and blah blah blah....he don't need to rep for anyone but himself & his loyal listener's who know that IT'S ABOUT TIME HE DOES SO.

No excuses....that's lame....if they start kickin that shit. I support the cat and know damn well that he knows where he comes from and ain't forgot about it....but is he supposed to die screamin the shit?

Yup, all we can do is hope Beesh gets what he deserves...I wouldn't hold my breath worrying over whether the Bay "blows up" or not--these days, entire areas (or cities, regions, etc.) don't really blow up--only individual artists do...

PEACE!
