IMO, the situaton could be different based on which relative it is
much more so if its a friend
my brother would probably deserve to get shot, much like me...and he gonna have to deal with that on his own unless he asks for my help handling it, im not even gonna be a material witness to it, ill just call the ambulance.
my sister, id do an investigation on it and handle it, just out of unspoken dedication to the women in my family
mom, same as above
dad, hes a veitnam vet, he can handle his own shit
friends, they can handle they own shit
this is a dumbass question, your relative or friend getting medical help has little to do with cops interrogating the reason for such, i'd tell the cops fuck off, my family member just got shot, give me your number and when i feel less traumatized ill give a call, dont call us we'll call you, and then id get rid of the card because i can do the same thing a cop can do investigation wise.

i got arrested because a man flagged down a cop , he was a witness, pointed at me in the back of the car, talked to the cop for an hour. i stared at him this whole time and when i looked in his eyes, he looked away.

EXACTLY! People think a snitch is anybody who tells a cop what they saw. Henry Hill was a snitch, Sammy Gravano was a snitch. Anybody else is just a fuckin' witness.
If somebody killed one of my loved ones in front of me, damn right I'd stick around and answer questions. Why? Because my loved ones wouldn't want me to spend the rest of my life in prison over it. We have too much respect for one another to not say anything, and too much respect for each others wishes. That's if it's my family though. My "friends", I'm not sure I'd say anything because I have friends involved in some foul shit, and I believe in Karma...plus, they wouldn't do shit if I got smoked in front of 'em. If it was an innocent friend that I'm really close to, I'd do the same for them as I would for my family.
That isn't snitching, that's being sick of innocent people getting killed by trigger happy assholes.
At the same time, if I was involved in shit and I got caught up with my folks, I wouldn't say a damn thing. It's 2 different sides of the spectrum here.

whoa whoa whoa! If I was gonna do anything, i wouldnt get on a forum and ask for opinions. Its more of a psychologic question for myself to see where people heads are at. I notice some people gettin a little angry at the question.

I myself never been to a police station for anything so i dont know any procedures and dont care, cuz i dont plan on committing any crimes. and I like to get high and drink and drive though. that will prolly send me to the station if i get caught.

the guy laid on the floor bleeding outside the hospital moaning and the hospital called the ambulance because they dont have an ER.
i mean technically...they coulda just called the ambulance themselves and saved some blood, right?
but yea, my hospital is right down the street. id agree in that case. but that said, theres no er so...
