Cash the one I have is also sealed. So maybe more exist sealed than unsealed of og's :) I had someone make a burn of theirs for me and I never opened the sealed one I got. I still think that cd will be worth a ton down the line once this re-release supply dries up.

Thats a come up for sure Mexicalian82! I've only come across one mint copy in all my years of diggin...
Well, I've never actually opened it, so who knows if it's a bootleg or not. Looks legit to me.

Maybe the re-release may be worth something someday eventually, you never know?
It might. But that ain't why I bought it. I got it for those two extra tracks. Hope they're both hard.

I started collecting for my passion for the bay area mobb style music, and that will never change. I just so happens the shit prefer to listen to is worth money.
Same here, but I don't collect anymore. Too expensive a hobby. So, most of my collection is on CDR or on my PC. I only got like 25-35 OG pressed CDs.

By the way Cashflow, did you get my eBay payment alright? I sent you a message on there. Jus wonderin bro.

No doubt I ain't gonna change my views, I will not ever buy re-releases of anything if I already got the og of it. No need. Maybe a few bonus tracks & colorful pretty colorful artwork but no biggie.
This kind of reminds me of that eddiefresh pressing up the bohn & deco-d cd's (with permission/rights of course). How did everyone's orders turn out wit him because I know he was a hard mfer to get a hold of. I think I emailed him once and got a response 6 months later ;)

Same with me, I'm waiting for him to reply. I'd like to order those two CDs from him but he doesn't actually seem too keen on selling...
He doesn't reply to emails, but if you purchase the re-release's he selling on eBay he will ship them to you. The Deco-D has a bonus track on it just like how S.D. put the bonus tracks on the re-releases as well.

Anybody know his international shipping rates? I'd place orders with but he doesn't list international shipping. Don't want to suddenly have to add $25 in shipping....

I got mine today. Sounds like it's remastered. Sounds much better than the classic release, in my opinion. And the new glossy artwork on the disc looks tight! I'm dissapointed at the bonus tracks, though. They don't belong with the classic mob shit on this CD.

That's another thing that I along with many hardcore collectors do not appreciate. The remastered or glossed up sound added into these reissues. The original sound fo rmy money is usually rawer, and better. Meaning they reproduce more of the tonal scale, meaning you are hearing more. I have found very few cd's that were remastered that actually benefitted from the change. Most of them sound muddy and overbassed up, and lose the vocal range (mids) and highs. If anything it loses the original flavor. Kind of like comparing the ear of the hardcore record junkie when he has to be forced to listen to a cassette tape or cd instead of his prized records that he listened to for decades. No comparison. Bottom line as I said, buy og's and you will be ok. In all respects. The glossed up sound on reissues/re-rleases comes across fake in many genres of music, not just hip hop. And when the sound isn't right it don't matter how many bonus tracks are included, it don't compare to what came first. Stick to the original you be aight.

I bought the CDs yesterday and requested a total amount, because he doesn't list international shipping rates, he just says he'll ship internationally. Haven't heard from him yet, so I hope he bothers to reply soon.

Still haven't heard from eddiefresh at all. Anybody got an email address that he actually checks? I can't believe that he doesn't bother to reply to a request for the total amount on ebay.

Lots of mixed opinions when it comes to the 2 bonus tracks. To all the new cats that never heard of him before they love the last 2 the best, and to all the old school cats of course we like the original tracks. He was aiming to please everyone who purchased it.

The og will set you back $100 if you want one. I would not sell that anyway because it is the only one I have. And believe me the supply of re-releases won't take long to dry up. Cash how did your hunt go on the ghetto soldiers cd? I know if I wasn't so much of a damn collector over a seller you would have gotten either a sealed or perfect mint one by now. Gotta stop letting my heart rule me so much and get in the ebay mindset :) But the only stuff I find myself parting with are things I got a ton of and stuff I know is being mass re-issued in the near future.
