MIX A LOT remains the only Rap artist to maintain any commercial success out of the NW.

In buisness sence he was a serious gangsta, he had his own record company, controlled his own publishing, made his own beats and made a rediculous amount of money in the process.

I still remember when he hosted that show Hot rocks on the Playboy channel in 97.

Gangsta shit

LOL

Hey Cocaleafs, you seem to be pretty level headed and knowledgable bout a lil bit of everything. You must be lil older than most of these guys in here. I know I am. Most of these cats wouldnt know that Mix A lot owned his own shit and was paid like a fool "That means paid out the ass" His lyrics was gangsta too if you listen to "My Bad Side" "Gortex" " and "Somethin Bout My Benzo" was some player shit.

Mix-A-Lot can flow! On top of that he makes hot ass beats. Ya he was all commercial with it but hey, he's paid. I was listening to his verse on Twin-G's album the other day, man he ripped that shit!

After he released Return of the Bumpasaurus it was all downhill from there.

Put um on the Glass was a great idea/concept for a track!
