What could also help the Buccaneers' cause is the recent decision by Lions WR Mike Williams, who has worn on Marinelli, to pull out of the offseason program in Detroit in the hope that the Lions will cut him and allow him to sign with Oakland, his desired destination. That would reunite Williams with new Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin, who coached him at USC. With the addition of another big receiver in Oakland, the option to draft a quarterback who can get on the field now and manage the game, which will not come easy for Russell, could become more attractive.

his career with Detroit hasn't been great.... He was a monster at USC tho. and he wants to come here....Just another option to have incase they get rid of Moss

Do Raider fans ever talk about upgrading their offensive line? Or is it just stockpiling players at WR?
Well Cable says that he can work wit these players on the line now and get them into the new scheme... Grove and Newberry battle it out for Center... have Gallery at RT which he seems to do more better at.. and just work with whats there.. really who is out there that can make a big impact?

O-line uprading has to come through the draft since there isnt any great FA's available. I got no problem with trading down and drafting Joe Thomas..thats actually my ideal situation.

Bad news for you guys..
not necessarily.... it takes better coaching and work ethic to make a player reach their peak performance... Its not like its gonna be the same exact starting lineup as the previous year... they gonna work on it. plus we still have the draft

Wow...the Raiders biggest weakness was the OL and they essentially stood pat, so far. Get someone to replace Gallery...imo he's just a Kwame Harris type, not mentally strong enough for the game. Too many dumb penalties. Maybe the OL coach can change him but i wouldn't bet on it. You optimstic that the OL can protect whoever is throwing/running the ball next year?
