Fat Joe won a grammy for lean back. Please explain to me how Fat Joe alone deserved any of that credit. No actual songwriting went into that "song" - it was just a bunch of bragging like any interchangeable shit on the radio. Scott Storch should have shared in the honors and been mentioned by name by the committee.

The Grammies are ignorant to the culture of hip hop. There is no one from the hip hop community involved with the decision making process, thus their selections.
All the Academy is aware of is what is played on the major media outlets...and what song was bigger (in terms of radio spins) last year than leanback? All that lil john stuff...the academy just started recoginizing hip hop, they aren't ready for crunk cats to get up on the podium and get ghetto fab on their TV show...when the roots won their grammy, I felt it was well deserved...but if you remember, the academy voted for fresh prince instead of public enemy for the 1st hip hop grammy...so what does that tell you? They support mindless and non threatening music.

Fat Joe is still the best rapper comin outta the Bronx, the birth place of Hip Hop...Never ever forget that!!! He's been around for more than a decade in the rap game, and he deserves all the recognition that he's getting!! He aint a sell out, he's done paid his dues in the underground, its now his time to shine in the mainstream...i aint mad at him for that, and neither should any of y'all!
