Police say the Atlanta-based rapper Too Short and one of his associates were briefly jailed early Thursday after Boise police say they got into a fight with security workers at the Knitting Factory concert club following a concert.

The 44-year-old Todd Shaw (Too Short) is charged with three counts of misdemeanor battery and associate Michael T. Walton, 38, of Modesto, Calif., is charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery. Both were taken to the Ada County Jail early Thursday, where they were released after posting bond.

Boise police were called to the Knitting Factory just after 11 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a report of a fight. Three employees of the club who work security told police they had been punched, kicked and pushed by Shaw and Walton.

Witnesses told police the fight began after those security employees told Shaw he could not take underage girls backstage and into his dressing room, according to police reports.

None of the three security employees were seriously injured, police officials said.

Shaw and Walton have court dates scheduled for Aug. 4.

The charge of misdemeanor battery is punishable by up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

The Knitting factory is a chain of real big venues they have all over the country..Kinda like the House Of Blues, I've rocked at the same exact one Short was at in Boise, Idaho...Spokane, WA, and San Diego...I asked myself how come they aint got one in the bay.

I did read the whole thread, but just knowin how the media is, and how they try to sway public opinion. Who really knows if there were any "underage girls". I think security fucked around and got embarrased so they said the underage shit to put cuz in a negative light. Cause if it was a "club" why were there underage people there anyway?
