LOL...yes, because clearly PERSONAL gain has anything to do with the American economy. That went entirely over your head, but should i be shocked?
NOW youre getting...kinda. Keep up, sport.
I just explained it as did you.
LOL....we do? Explain it to me then. The way I Saw it, seomeon attacked Amercia (9/11), so we go to look for some boogie man in some caves in Afghanistan, and end up invading Iraq and killing Saddam. LOL...makes COMPLETEL sense to me. We can find Saddam in a spider hole, but cant seem to find Osama, who has AMERICAN ties? Hmmmm....
LOL....they could, but everyone would be mad as fuck if they found out it was REALLY for gaining money and power. Baffling.
LOL....Al Queda is the boogie man that no can locate. It doesn't exist.
You need to quit typing when you're drunk man.
1) We're NOT in the middle east for MONETARY GAIN. Wars cost MONEY, LOTS OF MONEY. We have the most technologically advanced military on the planet, as well as the MOST EXPENSIVE military on the planet. As you can see, our nation is having HUGE MONEY PROBLEMS, not SOLUTIONS resulting from us being at war in the middle east. For you to say this war was started for anybody to MAKE MONEY is completely wrong. 3/4 of printed American currency is sitting in Chinese banks right now. Our dollar isn't worth shit, and all businesses have shipped their jobs to Mexico, China and India.
2) The war was started to look for WMDs (lie to cover for their interest in taking Sadamm Hussein out of power), infiltrate terrorist cells within Iraq (true, but after they admitted there were no WMDs) and essentially hunt for Osama Bin Laden. We know the actions and reactions that got our nation's soldiers sent into the middle east.
3) the Bush family already had/has money and power. Of course he and many of his affiliates capitalized off of war money- he's a crooked ass president. Worse than Nixon. "We're spending all this money... we might as well pocket some" just like 99.5% of every other human being to live this earth and make a living in politics. You think Obama doesn't have a few extra bucks from all his spending? Same plot, different story lines.
4) how in the fuck are Al Queda "boogie men that no one can locate" when they make
videos saying "whats up y'all, this is AL QUEDA. We about to chop this American journalists head off just to show you what we're about. Oh yeah, be sure to wait and hear from our Public Relations guy shortly after every major terrorist attack in Iraq/Afghanistan/Pakistan to confirm whether or not we're going to take responsibility for it." That's like telling me the mothafuckin Hell's Angels are just figments of my imagination that the government tells me came through and destroyed the basketball courts in my sleep because they're secretly against me playing basketball. Al Queda exists. Period.
This war was started for one reason: in response to the 9/11 attacks. America was attacked, and this is how those running our country responded. I'm not saying they didn't gain shit, I'm not saying it was the right thing to do, I'm simply telling you: action/reaction.
As far as this shit goes: I spent about 2 hours last night on the phone with my best friend who is stationed there. He was in the same building the shooting happened at 12pm finishing some health paperwork (PDHRA I think was what he called it... Post Deployment Health Reassessment ____ ??). Apparently its just a building where people who go to Iraq get a psychiatric evaluation before they ship out, and another psychiatric evaluation when they come back. Being that my dude returned a few months ago and is about to go on leave, he's been getting all that post-war paperwork health shit out the way. So he comes back to the building around 1pm to visit the optical professionals and clear up more paper work, when he and his friend start hearing the shooting. My boy is like "oh, that's just funeral brigade" kind of shrugging it off. You know, they're all military and there's qualifying ranges as well as a funeral gun salute that happens on a normal basis. So anyway after he heard the 3rd/4th/5th shots, he and his friend look toward the building and they both see this guy running after everybody duel wielding pistols just dropping people. I guess he said he just stood there watching... stunned for some period or time. They hopped back in the ride and sped toward their nearest officer and let them know what was going on.
My friend was still kind of in shock over it all. I could tell in his voice. Real monotone. Said it was just like a dream to him, and it kind of fucked with him how calm he remained through out all of it. Fucked up part is after dealing with all the traumatic events from the war, he witnesses all this shit. I'm just on the phone and I'm like "this is THE story on all national news outlets right now, and I got you sitting here telling me play by play of how it all started. You were
involved in that shit. Its like being one of the people who witnessed Columbine or Virginia Tech. Mfkrs are gonna end up wanting to write and/or report stories about your life and how it relates to being a part of that shit."
Apparently the dude who went crazy had stayed back on some detail or another the past 2 or 3 deployments he was supposed to go on. The moment they cornered him and was like "look motherfucker its your turn to go", he went crazy. Dudes been getting all the military benefits for years and the moment he has to go over there, he goes nuts and kills soldiers instead. Fucked up part is he was in his 40s, a Major, and likely would not have seen any combat. So under those circumstances, that would be the open window for asking whether or not it was a terrorist or religiously influenced act. The connection I made though, was that he carried out his massacre the same way the VT shooter did... two hand guns, plenty of extra ammo on him. I also heard on television the guy had some connection with VT around the time those shootings took place.
So take from it all what you will. I guess its just another tragedy. This one hit kinda close to home for me though, for a minute I wasn't sure if my friend was alive. Turns out he's okay physically, but at the end of the day this whole Army experience has done a huge number on his psyche... and that was even before seeing this.
