Shadow from ECCR = Best rapper in the Bay PERIOD!

Your Logic = This guy is the best rapper, I know he hasn't made any records, or done anything to prove that he is the best, but I just know in my wittle heart that he is and I wub him so much!

True but like homeboy said if Shadow had the chance to showcase his talent like 40 did, theres no telling what would happen. Who knows if Shadow was able to showcase his talent like 40 then you would be seeing Shadow on MTV n shit you never know like for example (ima use basketball since that appears to be the preferred example lol) lets say there was a guy (lets call him Jay) who played basketball throughout his life and he was affiliated with a gang or some shit, and theirs this other cat (lets call him Bob) who too has played basketball his whole life too, lives in the same neighborhood as the other guy same skills and style and he has been in school and has never been involved with drugs, gangs or any of that shit (Example: Michael Jordan) then he would play for college football and people see his talent and then they put him on to become pro and plays for the Warriorz or something then of coarse people would say hes one of the greatest of all time and would be famous while this other nigga has talent as well but has never been given the opportunity to show off his talent only to a small amount of people then of coarse if someone says that Jay is one of the best right now then people would be like wtf he ain't no Bob. and then the argument starts Bob has this many wins hes on tv he has many rings blah blah blah and Jay has never been to college so hes never played in 1 college basketball game so their you go but then again its just my opinion I don't really care I buy albums from E-40 and have bought albums featuring Shadow so much respect to both guys
This is where your entire argument falls apart. Are you saying that people are holding back shadow from displaying his skills or that e-40 was given chances nobody else will ever get? Nobody hands you anything in life. E-40 capitalized on the same opportunities many people are presented with every day. Not everyone has the ability to turn a few cassette sales out of the trunk into a successful career. We can play the what if game all day, but the bottom line is the bottom line. If you don't have an album, and your features can be counted on your two hands, you cannot be considered the best in the bay without people not wanting to take your claims seriously.
I see what your saying but I wasn't trying to give the impression that someone is holding him back its just that he has the potential and hes coming out with his overdue solo album which In my opinion is going to be a classic album so he might be one of the best or not but still just supporting the music so we can hear more real shit and not the bullshit thats on the radio everyday is all I'm getting at but at the end of the day like I said before its all just opinions you cant say that 2pac or Mac Dre is one of the best artist that ever existed to someone who doesn't listen to rap he obviously is going to give his opinion on who's one of the best artist ever so the argument continues so its all opinions so just enjoy the music and support your favorite artists by buying his album or purchasing his songs of itunes or something and don't bootlegs anything
