I'm feelin the same, but you know we still gotta root for our team. I'd be even more worried if I was an A's fan. At least we know who our washed up players are. They have young up and coming players that we'll soon know.

yup, to tell you the truth it never matters to me how good or bad my team is gonna be. I'm still gonna watch to see prospects develop and some young players come into to their own and watch Lincecum and Matt Cain learn more about their abilities...

we knew niners were a shitty team half way thru last season but we still watched everygame to see the the brightspots or players sturgling to get on track

i mean at the end of the day, I love watching sports...whether my team is good or bad, im still gonna watch them play...and if they are bad, it makes those wins that much more exciting...

til this day.. i still remember what this homeless dude in frisco said to me.. i was wearing this giants hat.. "chinese giants..... gotcha nigga!" picture dave chappelle saying this, thats exactly how it sounded.

but on another note, the giants can be complete shit.. ill still go to their games, watch them on tv, and follow up on the news of the team.

Feliz to the phillies, now we have this gap at 3rd.... i say we put aurilia at 3rd and bring in a minor leaguer to first base. Or make eugenio velez learn to play at the corners.

As of right now, Frandsen would be starting at 3rd (unless we sign Crede) and Ortmeier will be at first....both splitting some time with Aurilia....

Velez can only play second (but is behind Frandsen and Durham in the depth chart) and in the outfield (there's a shitload of people ahead of him)...

Were coming into the Season with one of the Best Starting Rotations in the ML, not just the NL, we are arguably Top 3 in the NL in Rotation and maybe Top 5-7 in the ML. With that Said, If Ray Durham, Dave Roberts can perform the Way they were paid to Perform then I don't see how this Team can't make a run at above 500 or the Playoffs("Playoffs?! Playoffs?!'-Jim Mora Sr.) YES PLAYOFFS.

So if all goes well and accordance to their contracts here is what the Best the Giants can Do.

Zito 17-8
Cain 18-8
Lincecum 15-5
Lowry 15-10
Sanchez, Correia 10-7/12-6

Bullpen seems Suspect so I'll leave it at that but I will give my guess on the Offense, pending on the Performance I expect from the Vets and Youngins'

Dave Roberts 280 2 HR 40 RBI 50 SB 100 R 350 OBP 350 SLG
Kevin Frandsen/Durham 270 12 HR 60 RBI, Durham at Best 280 18 HR 90 RBI
Aaron Rowand 280 22 HR 90 RBI 80 R
Bengie Molina 280 13 HR 80 RBI 50 R
Randy Winn 310 15 HR 75 RBI 70 R
Dan Ortmeier 265 20 HR 65 RBI 65 R
Omar Vizquel 260 3 HR 40 RBI 25 SB 50 R
3B?

I think the Giants if they all perform as their contracts say they should, they can win more than 80 games at best

But if they go according to what the majority of the baseball minds think, I think they'll win around 60-70 Games :( LOL

But that pitching staff and the Youth is something to Watch.

Nate Schierholts looks likes a Matt Holliday without the Power type Player
Rajai Davis is Jose Reyes in CF

I think that if the bullpen can step it up a bit, they actually wont be in bad shape. Sabean seems to be betting on speed, and divisionally the bullparks will help that play to their advantage. I don't expect to see Rowand hitting more than 20 home runs, but if they put together a line up with a lot of speed I think they can play get' em over and get em' in well (think Roberts, Davis, Winn, Rowand with Molina hitting 5th). Davis is a player who really excites me. He plays great D and runs the bases like a mad man. If he can step his hitting up he'll be a great outfielder; I think it would be a HUGE mistake to not play him because we got Rowand.

I'm not expecting playoffs, but I think if the team can make some improvements and get into the 90 win range it will pay off come free agency next year. They need to portray themselves as a team that is playoff bound to nab some free agents, and I think they are only 2 good hitters away from being a playoff team.
