impossible cuddy. if ur lucky, at the end of the song they might have looped the beat for a minute, u can get cool edit and just paste the loop over n over and make a ghetto fabolous instrumental.

Nawww, this is not impossible. Look in the phone book under recording studios...there are some places out there that can mute vocals from a track. I know of one inparticular out here in San Jose!! HOWEVER, it'd be cheaper to just go download the instrumentals you're looking for!!

sorry sydal but it is completely not possible to take a track off of a cd mastered and ready to go of the shelf and take the vocals off of it.. only way is if you are recording the track and at the board you press mute..... period.. not even n.a.s.a. can engineer a song backwards ...

that shit cant be done once its mixed and mastered its all intertwined (spell check that) its 1 sound like on a screen it be one sound bar. now if you super magnified it you could edit out each second that the vocals are on but it also remove the beat with it. so it be a choppy ass track where the beat only plays when theirs a pause for breath or whatever. i dont think theirs a instrumental around you cant find somewhere. just go look for it

if you have cool edit, you might be able to lower the vocals. it works good for some songs and others it dont. it takes a long time to get it right. i just move the bars left and right and try to figure out which one sounds the best. but heres where to go in cool edit..

NO CAN DO, YOU CAN SURPRESS SUM OF THE VOCALS, BUT YOU WILL STILL HEAR THE VOCALS TO SUM EXTENT, LIKE EMENIM DID WITH THAT TRACK FROM PINK FLOYD ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL, YOU CAN HEAR THE OG VOCALS IN THAT BACK BUT THYE WAS SURPRESSED PLUS HIS VOCALS OVER EM MADE IT HARD TO HEAR, BUT NO ITS IS NOT POSSIBLE AT ALL....ITS A 2 TRACK MIX THEREFORE THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO IS GET ONE TRACL OR THE OTHER, AND WHEN YOU DO SURPRESS THE VOCALS SUM WHUT U ALOS SURPRESS THE OG BEAT......JUSS GET THE INSTR ALONE....GOOD LUCK

Ummm, ok y'all, think what you must. I had a stereo in 1996 that had a vocal fader on it...and it damn near worked perfectly. You think I can have close to the option on a regular stereo and some studio out there won't have the option to do such a thing in 2004? I doubt it....I went to a spot that does it out here...so I know it is NOT impossible!!

there was a device that would lower the vocals, but it would have to be a song with only a single vocal track....no overdubbs or nothin...but even they said there was no 100% method....
