The Pre-Season is OVER, time for the real thing.

No real shockers with the cuts, partially b/c their job was made easier by the 1 game suspensions to Bernard and Babineaux. Justin Forsett made the squad, David "The Heater" Hawthorne made the squad, I was very happy to see those two guys. It will be interesting to see if Bumpus clears waivers, I hope he does but won't be surprised if he doesn't.

At Buffalo is big, I have this as one of their most difficult games this season, as a matter of fact, I predict a loss (and then two wins at home against the 69ers and the Rams) so we'll start 2-1 out of the gates, but if they could just beat Buffalo that would be HUGE.

^ Before the people not familiar with the team come on here laughing that I'm nervous about playing a potential bottom of their division team like Buffalo, they are the kind of people who haven't watched this team the past 4 years. Eastern time zone early kickoff games (10 am Pacific) have absolutely dominated this squad in recent years.

With the Hawks it's as much about where and when they play as opposed to who they play. They will lose at Buffalo but beat New England in Seattle on December 7th, that's how extreme this trend has played out in recent years and I don't expect anything different in '08.

Prove me wrong on Sunday Hawks, go do it!

I chose the seahawks over Bills in the pickem league, but that info about them playing early eastcoast games might change my mind.

9ers had two horrible losses againts the seahawks last year but we will be a much different team this year. It'll be a tough game in seattle but we won't make it as easy as last year...

We'll see.

I still remember how carried away the Niner fans got from the season series sweep in '06.

Tough one today, I expected a loss so it isn't jarring my world or changing my outlook for the season.

Opening Week sucks, crazy shit happens, you either want to play somebody clearly better than you or somebody who's terrible, nothing in between and that's what the Hawks got today.

Remember they lost Week 1 in 2005.

2 home games in the division coming up, those are big games. Easiest way to punch the ticket to the playoffs is to simply control your division.

yeah buffalo will be tough because of the injuries at WR and Hasselbeck could be very rusty. Run game and defense will have to be huge to get the W.

Shiiiiit.... why don't the two of yall team up and start making predictions on the spread in the future??

shiiiiiiit, I still picked seattle to win just because I don't have the heart to pick against them.

What I don't understand though, is Morris was starting RB and Jones/Duckett didn't even see any action to later in the game. I thought Jones was the starter?

Regardless, Hasslebeck will get better, his numbers were pretty shitty I think he was just rusty. Plus it was raining @ buffalo, tough atmosphere. Defense looked like shit though, I expected them to do better. Will be a completely different team at home.

I heard we just lost Burleson for the year, he tore a ligament in his knee. Now our starters are Taylor, Payne, Kent, and probably take Bumpus off the practice squad. We need to bring in a couple veterans right now until Branch and Engram recover. This season is looking fucked already.
