Lol at some clown in the media calling for a Skittles boycott and Stephen A Smith going on a 9 min anti Lynch rant. People losing their damn minds over Lynch not talking to the media like this is really that important?!
i like stephen a but as a fellow black man he should feel where lynch coming from. he came off like an uncle tom today, making it seem like he ice city should appease the media.
if that man feels that his words would be used against him to paint him in a different light then he has every right to feel that way.
someone made a good point in the espn comments that the media too lazy to do some real reporting and research on ice city.

Former Safety Kenny Easley will serve as Honorary Captain for Super Bowl XLIX Coin Toss

Seahawks safety and Ring of Honor member Kenny Easley will serve as the Seahawks honorary captain for the coin toss before Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, February 1.

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Seattle Seahawks today announced that former Seahawks safety and Ring of Honor member Kenny Easley will serve as the Seahawks honorary captain for the coin toss before Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, February 1.

Easley was the fourth-overall selection by Seattle in the 1981 NFL Draft. He was inducted into the Seahawks Ring of Honor on October 14, 2002 after a career of seven years played in Seattle from 1981-87. Voted by the Associated Press as the defensive Player of the Year in 1984, Easley had 32 interceptions in his career. He was named AFC Rookie of the Year in 1981 by the NFL Players' Association and was voted to the Pro Bowl five times (1982-85, 1987). He was named first-team All-NFL by the Associated Press in three consecutive years (1983-85). He finished his career with 498 tackles, seven sacks, 10 forced fumbles, nine fumble recoveries and 32 interceptions.

Regarding Easley, saw this posted on Reddit. Sad, but then cool....

This is always great to see.
For some history, ibuprofen was approved for OTC in '84, and it was looked upon as a miracle cure-all for muscle-pain. There's a story I recall of it being around like candy in the Seahawks clubhouse. The trainers back then didn't monitor the players too closely. Easley was apparently taking ~8500mg a day for months, and it ruined his kidneys. His production dropped off, but his medical situation wasn't known until the Hawks traded him to Phoenix & he failed his physical.
There is also some speculation (mostly on KE's side) that the Hawks traded him because of he was the Seahawks player representative during the '87 strike. There's not much evidence on that, but then, there wouldn't be much evidence anyway.
It was really bad for Kenny during those years. His kidneys were shot, and he was on dialysis, twice a week. He sued the Seahawks, settled out of court, and he wrote off the team completely. (Luckily, he received a kidney transplant a few years later, but I'm sure there were some bitter angry years in there.)
He was inducted into the Seahawks Ring of Honor in '02, and thankfully by that time, things had changed enough, from the team to Easley, that they began to bury the hatchet. But it was bad-- one of the greatest Seahawks was sitting in AZ with a burning hate for the team. It really bothered me.
He was my favorite Hawk, and he sort of symbolized to me what happened to the team in the late 80's & 90's. He was such a fierce competitor, a hard-hitting take-no-prisoners kinda guy. Something that really stood out in Seattle sports at the time.
Seeing him embracing the team again whole-heartedly like this is truly awesome.

Falcons plan to name Dan Quinn head coach on Tuesday

The worst-kept secret in the NFL will no longer be a secret in a few days.

Per multiple sources, the Falcons currently plan to name Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn the new head coach in Atlanta.

Quinn, 44, succeeded Gus Bradley in 2013. He came from the University of Florida, where he’d spent two seasons after two with the Seahawks.

The Salisbury State graduate began his coaching career in 1994, at William & Mary. He spent seven years at the college level before joining the 49ers in 2001. Four seasons in San Francisco were followed by two with the Dolphins (the Nick Saban years) and two with the Jets, under former head coach Eric Mangini.

League rules prevent the Falcons from offering the job to Quinn until his current team’s season ends. It became clear in recent weeks that the Falcons were waiting for Quinn. The first tangible evidence came when the Falcons hired offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan before hiring their head coach.

The expected announcement will fill the final 2015 NFL coaching vacancy. Unless there’s still another change or two coming in the next week or so.

I haven’t heard of any brewing, but in this business who knows?

Yeah usually it's OPPPNENTS burning jerseys not the own fans! Such a shameful fan base. I mean there are a few cool niner fans here and there no question, but the majority are downright embarrassing to humanity.
Usually. But like I said I'm sure we can find some seahags burning their own
