On my way home from work i stopped at Dunkin Donuts. Just like every other day. But before I walked in there was a little kids sleepin outside, maybe 7 or 8 years old. Homeless with no one but himself. Shit broke my heart.

The little kid asked me if i could buy him an orange juice. So i took him inside and bought him whatever he wanted. all he wanted was an OJ and a bagel, and it made his day.

you wanna talk about depressing!!!!

why the fuck was a 7 year old kid homeless on the streets by himself?? needless to say, i bought him 2 bagels and OJ, so at least he'd have something for the rest of the day!!!

Its a fucked up world we live in, real fucked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it was 630 in the morning and he wasnt really trying to go anywhere. plus out here, theres not many option, ya know. i gave him bus money or whatever, and told him to go to the hospital around the corner, which has a shelter and i called them to let them know the situation.

They called me an hour ago and said he came in and they are gonna help him from there, which i sincerely hope they do!

The shelter told me they did just that, brought him to social services, since this was an "exceptional case". I just hope the kid gets something more out of life than sleeping on a street corner. Such a fucked up place we live in.

Dont get me wrong though, i often times give homeless people change or money, but this was a kid. So i kinda felt obligated to help him,i have brothers that age. It pains me to know there a million more like him out there

im assuming he couldnt have been out there hella long. its not often you see 7 year olds running around homeless all day, sooner or later a concerned white person investigates this kinda situation (beads) and alerts the proper authorities (also beads), and everything is coo.

If i saw the kid i would have grabbed his ass and took him to the Police station or some shit.

I dont know why but when you told this story i had an image in my head....
i could picture the kid with his parents at 5 A.M rubbing dirt on his face and dressing him in old clothes that aint been washed..then they do the same to the other 3 kids they have....the father then instructs them all to jump in the escalade then he drops them off with instructions to get that money....$100 for a few hours of this for each kid at $400 a day total $2000 a week..$8000 a month...$96000 a year..not bad

how did this kid slip through social services? doesn't he know there's places that'll take him in? a group home is better than being homeless
