This is kind of old but I just ran into it and read it, in case any of ya'll missed it too. From Murder Dog #12. I think its from around 2005-2006.

Husalah and Jacka said they listen to all kinds of music like Dancehall. Do you listen to that too?

Hell yeah, I got them niggaz on that shit! Don’t get it confused. I’m the OG of the gang. I listen to all that shit. I got some Gwen Stefani in my deck right now. I listen to all kinda shit—muthafuckin Pop, Dancehall, Rock, Hip-Hop—my tape deck is a variety of shit. We on some other shit, that’s why we the kinda niggaz we is. We don’t do the same things these niggaz do. Nobody do.

How did you branch out and start listening to all this different music?

How did I branch out? That shit in just my genes, man! I just can’t keep doin the same thing. I’m a rapper, I do that. But I don’t wanna hear no niggaz yappin and talkin all that shit in my deck all day. Sometimes I wanna get casual, jump on the freeway and slap on me some real Cognac Loungin music. I’m a grown muthafuckin man, I can’t stick to the same plan. You gotta have a variety of music or you gonna be the same nigga.

That’s what has happened to a lot of Bay Area artists. They’re still doing the same music that we heard ten years ago.

That’s the way a lotta these guys movin. They stickin to the same ol’ shit. They stuck in the ice. We not stuck up in the ice. We rap about real life. What’s goin on in my life at the time, that’s what you finna hear about from Rydah J. Klyde. I’m not gonna talk about no shit I was doin some years ago, cause I ain’t that nigga. I can tell you something about it though, if that’s what you wanna hear. You gotta keep movin forward. A lotta these niggaz is movin backward when they should be movin forward.

You and Husalah are on the cover of the Mac Dre Presents Thizz Nation CD. You’re part of Thizz also?

I knew Dre from when me and AP was on the run and went to Mac-cramento. That’s when Freako got outa jail. I met Mac Dre through King Freako from the Ghetto Stars. That’s when I got on the Rompilation 2. That was the first time I was on a song with Mac Dre. The first day I met Mac Dre I was in the studio, got on a song with him and Freako, that song "Rock the Nation". I been chillin with that nigga Dre. I was goin through some thangs and I moved up outa Pittsburg and when to Mac-cramento and Mac Dre was out there. I was stayin with Mac Dre, workin on my album. I was out there for three years doin shit with Mac Dre and Thizz. That wasn’t no "jump on the tape cover" shit, I was with that nigga doin the mac thang and everything for three years straight. Up until the day we went to Kansas City and I came back without my nigga. From the day I went out to Mac-cramento to now, I been Thizz related.

I heard one of the members of Ghetto Stars got killed?

That’s him, that’s Freako. He got shot. I don’t really know what happened. Me and Mac Dre, we had a show in Hawaii. The Allstars game was around that time in LA, so I didn’t go to that muthafuckin Allstars game. That’s when that shit happened. I don’t know what happened, but somebody got on my guy down there. It’s a cold situation. I been goin through the rain, losin a lotta my guys in this shit. I’m the nigga that they need to be watchin in this shit. I’m the nigga now, they just don’t know it yet.

Do you have a solo album already done?

I got a solo album done. I got a group album called The Money Gang with my nigga Johnny Cash from the Hoodfellas comin out. I got a lotta shit goin on. I’ma flood these muthafuckas. I’ma give ‘em what my nigga Mac Dre left me here for. I’m the next nigga. I was on the roster and I’m gonna proceed with the chain reaction. I had my feet in the streets the whole time. That’s why I ain’t been comin with a lotta album. My feet be in the street.

You’re releasing your solo album on Thizz?

I got the solo album comin out on Thizz. My Money Game album’s comin out on Thizz. I’m Thizz related.

Who is doing the beats for the two projects you have on Thizz?

I got Trax, I got Roblo, One Drop Scott. I’m tryin to get with Rick Rock. I got the basic stuff that muthafuckas got. Just tryin to push it up to another level.

How did you find out about Mac Dre’s murder?

How did I find out? I was out there! I didn’t find out. I was right there in Kansas City. Rewind the tape, I say I was everywhere Mac Dre was the last three years. I moved to Mac-cramento, got on Thizz, and I am a Thizz nigga. I was at that show with Mac Dre in Kansas City. All that shit, I saw the body, all that shit.

Was there anything unusual going on that night in Kansas City?

The whole trip was unusual, if you ask me. The trip. You know how you sometimes have a funny feeling, I be goin off my gut feelings. Me and Dre was on our way back. He had a lotta shit goin on. He just bought a muthafuckin house in Sausalito, California. I had just moved outa Sac, he was getting ready to move outa Sac to Sausalito. We was comin back to the Bay, gonna bring this Thizz on. If you look at Thizz, you got a whole lotta niggaz on Thizz that wasn’t there before. That’s what me and Dre and them was workin on, tryin to get all the real niggaz together. That’s what I’m tryin to carry out. We got Bavgate, FAB from Oakland, my nigga Cash and Lil Ric from Richmond. We bringin every-muthafuckin-body together. It’s gonna be real big. That’s how I’m rockin.

When you went to Kansas City, did you do a show that night?

We was out there doin a show. We always get love in Kansas City. Kansas City love those cats. I got niggaz out there. We fuck with KC niggaz. They fly us out there, we do shows, do verses, a lotta shit. It was a basic Kansas City trip, like we always do. I don’t even wanna get into it.

Do you feel like people know what happened?

Of course somebody know what happened. The streets talk. Somebody knows.

When you heard that he had been killed did you believe it?

No man. Nobody believes no shit like that. Even if I’m right there lookin at the body, I still couldn’t believe it.

I heard the body was outside of the car. Did the car roll, or what?

There you go again, asking me about that, Black Dog. It’s like takin me right back there. I don’t wanna be there no more. I went to Kansas City and left without my guy. Ain’t nothing I wanna remember.

When is your album going to drop?

Around May. I’m in the mixing process right now. Got my cover done. I’ma be the Thizz cover boy now. My posters is gonna be on all the niggaz’ bitch’s walls and everything. I’m really gonna bring it to these guys, It’s over with.

You’re real excited about this new album?

Like a muthafucka. Excited about this new album, this Money Gang, I’m excited about this new Thizz shit. I’m comin for these niggaz. It’s over with. This is the real shit. We got niggaz from every corner of the Bay—Thizz Nation. I’m tryin to get all my Mob Figaz niggaz to roll over here to this table.
