And do they have a reason why? Because according to Cube, he left, or was kicked out because he had an altercation with Jerry Heller. He was mad because he wasn't getting paid like Eazy was. Years later Dre even said that he wished he left earlier because the money wasn't right.
Cube and dre are full of shit...If they were really getting ripped off then why didn't they sue him.....THE END!

If that is the case, why are there no records of an Eazy E song before Ruthless Records? All the documentaries I've seen on Eazy E and NWA, I've never heard of him having a rap career before Ruthless. Yo patnas is probably right, I'm just not the type of nigga that believe everything he hears from other people. I go off what I can see and hear for myself. As far as I'm concerned, I've never heard a pre-Ruthless Eazy E song because they don't exist. If they do exist then I stand corrected...
if you didn't buy a tape from him, or didn't know anybody that did, then of course you wouldn't have heard anything. If you've heard "Eazy Duz It" you've heard some of the shit that he wrote before NWA. There are several tracks on the album that were already, made recorded and sold before NWA, but because this was his first solo album after Straight Outta Compton, he added the members of NWA to them. The track "We Want Eazy" originally sounded nothing like it did once Dre added the samples and his touch. The concept of that song was from party's where there'd be cats rappin and the crowd would just be there to see Eazy.

It's all good though, I understand what you're saying and everyone is allowed to form their own opinions how they want to. Imma leave it at that cause this thread has gone WAAAAAAY off topic.

Yea I heard "Eazy Duz It" that song slapp...But on the real tho, that gurl MafiaQueen talking bout Eazy was making thousands of dollars selling his shit out the trunk. I highly, HIGHLY doubt it was even close to that. I mean if he had that many songs before Ruthless, why hasn't any of his shit been re-released? It just don't add up to me.

But yea my bad for my part in taking this thread off topic. Then again, there are like three other Mac Dre Romper Room Gang threads going strong so.....

Townbizz and mafiaqueen = when 'civil' debates go wrong, lol.

You two both held your own, but I think there was just a "tad" of miss-communication. But then again, it was like 2am in the fucking morning! lol.

From what I've gathered...

Townbizz's argument: Short is known for pioneering the 'selling tapes out the trunk' independently (all on his own, with NO GUIDANCE from the likes of Heller, or record company execs) concept;and thus attracting the attention of major record labels.

mafiaqueen's argument: Eazy-E was the first to 'create' an independent hip-hop record label (REGARDLESS of Heller's involvement/role), selling millions of records, and making millions in profit; paving the way for the Suge Knights, JT the Bigga Figgas, and Master P's.

Both are pioneers in their own ways. :)

I aint never dispute Too Shorts record sales on Jive! Thats not what our debate was over. Our debate was over independent sales...Dangerous Music vs Ruthless Records. And lets just say all Too Shorts 6 platinums were on "Dangerous", that 6 million doesnt add up to the 50million of Ruthless. Again, not just eazy e albums, but Ruthless.

COMPREHENSION IS KEY

Really?

So you would be more disturbed upon hearing that your local Bank Of America branch was robbed; than discovering your mother/father/brother/sister/son/daughter had just been murdered?

I'm curious as to why you consider bank robbery to be a more criminal act than murder?
READ THE WHOLE QUOTE.....THE POINT I WAS MAKING IS THAT USUALLY WHEN BANKS ARE ROBBED(BY BLACC PEOPLE)...MURDER IS NOT THE FOCUS...I HAVE SEEN A LOT MORE MURDERS WITH MY EYES THAN BANKS ROBBED SO I WOULD NEVER SAY BANK ROBBERY IS WORSE THAN MURDER....MURDERS TAKE LIVES....USUALLY BANK ROBBERIES DON'T..UNLESS THE CULPRITS ARE CAUGHT & THEN THE ONLY LIFE TAKEN IS THEIR OWN CUZ THEY GET VERY LONG SENTENCES.....I'VE SEEN PEOPLE TRIED & CONVICTED(4 MURDER) & GET WAY LESS TIME THAN THE FEW PEOPLE I KNOW WHO HAVE BEEN CONVICTED FOR ROBBING BANKS....MONEY IS MORE VALUABLE IN THE U.S. THAN HUMAN LIFE & THAT'S A SHAME IF YOU ASK ME.....NEXT TIME YOU WANT 2 QUESTION WHAT I FEEL...READ MY POSTS SOBER OR DO A BACCGROUND CHECC & (REAL)IZE WHO YOU ARE TALKING 2 CUZ I USUALLY BACC ALL MY SHIT UP WITH FACTS.....HAPPY OBAMA/KING DAY HOMIE....KEEP IT MOBBY

I feel that Eazy-E just doesn't get as much respect or recognition that he deserves because of how he died. If he would've gotten merked, he would be worshipped and revered like a Pac, Big, JMJ, MD, etc., but since he died of AIDS, people don't mention him or remember him as much as all of these MC's and artists that got merked. I find it very puzzling that Eazy died 10 days after being diagnosed with AIDS. WTF strain did he contract????? Instant AIDS???? His death defied all I know about HIV and AIDS. Hell, Magic Johnson contracted HIV over 15 years ago, and is doing better than ever. Go Figure. Eazy-E was/is the GODFATHER of Gangsta Rap/WestCoast Music. He brought a coalition of artists to the table.......Dr. Dre, Yella, MC Ren, Ice Cube, D.O.C., Arabian Prince, Sir Jinx, Bone Thugs, Compton's Most Wanted, DJ Quik, XZibit, Mack 10, Snoop Dogg, DPG, damn i know i'm missing some. My point is, it's hard to find an successfull artist from SoCal without playing the 6 degrees of Eazy-E game...

Luke Campbell, James Smith (J-Prince) and Eazy have to be the most ignored pioneers in the game. They all singlehandely put the West and the South on a global level in a time where the things they did was strictly taboo As fans and artists, we all owe them a great amount of gratitude. Yeah many came before them, but who made these areas explode like they did?

Above The Law, Kokane, JJ Fad, Will-I-Am(Pre Black Eye Peas), Michele' (Shit any and all Comptons rappers) and so much more are people who Eazy was responsible for giving them their breaks... Eazy -E is hands down the most influential West Coast figure there ever will be. He took the west coast out of the slums and put our movement on front street. He even gave Too Short a national platform by having Short open for NWA back in 89. Alot of cats are too young to remember Too Short and NWA at the Oakland Coliseum, but I remember cause it was huge. Eazy E made the West Coast a phenomenon when it was considered jut a regional sound. Priority took a chance on Eazy not only because he was ground breaking, but Proiority Records at the time was best known as the label that put out the California Grapes (Who remembers that). He made Priority the go to label in the early 90's way before No Limit did. Any nigga front on Eazy is not only ludicrous but just a motherfucka that don't know his history... Boyz in The Hood is still one of the all time greats songs ever recorded, thanks to Ice Cube and Eazy.

@Mr. Cleen. I remember that tour. That was the tour that gave Hip-Hop concerts a black eye until this day. When they hit Kemper Arena in Kansas City. It was like a Royal Rumble inside, and the O.K. corral outside. I was 16 and ended up catching a case the next week, retaliating on some fools that was trippin with me and mines at that concert.....Some nigga tried to jump on the stage and get at Ice T and he caught the dude with a 2-piece before security could grab him....I'll never forget that night....

I'm already knowin, the Oakland Coliseum was the exact same way. Cats blamed it on the music, but honestly the people who was there set trippin would've fought at a wedding if they had a chance. That tour made it impossible to put them type of cats on stage together for years...
