^ You need to check everything At the Drive-In has put out. If you like One Armed Scissor (which is a great song) you will probably love all their stuff. One of my favorite bands ever.

I more or less like all the bands you just posted. I'm not a huge Radiohead fan but I respect their music. Good shit.

another reason why the 90's were the shit. rock/alternative/grunge was at its best. and rap was too. man, i miss those days. you couldnt go wrong with the radio back then
So ture ... I was into the mainstream then. Rap was on point. Rock we had LP, Bizkit, Korn, Zombie, Slipknot all doin it fucking big on the radio.. now everyone went to shit... Thats why I stick to the Hardcore.. Cant go wrong when most of them sound the same lol

lol How is Van Halen not classic rock? Most of the guys who became "hairmetal" made their careers borrowin 3 or 4 of Eddie's riffs
I don't consider Van Halen classic rock.

Pink Floyd, CCR, Janis, the Dead, bands like that I consider classic rock.

but either way, it's just a pointless title & the music is what matters... all the bands named have put out good shit, fuck what genre it falls in...

as far as newer shit goes:

HURT, Alice in Chains, System of a Down, Days Of The New, Seether... thats my shit

That's pretty clean, I'll have to check them out.....here's some of the shit I like:

damn near everything by Radiohead:

damn near everything by System of a Down:

This Queens of the Stone Age album was raw, I never checked out their others:

Incubus is dope:

and hella other random shit like:

major props on this post, i like all these bands. System is one of my favorites, QOTSTA is hella dope. You can't really go wrong with any built to spill album either, all their releases are solid.

Someone was talking about industrial rock. Rammstein is some dope ass industrial hard rock. That shit goes even if you can't understand what they're saying. Plus their live show is crazy!

Smoke a joint and blast this shit. This is the band that made Josh Homme want to start Kyuss with Brant Bjork (his band before Queens of the Stone Age). A lot of the bands from the Palm Desert scene put out some really great stuff back in the day (late 80s-mid 90s). Stoney Lonesome is my cut.

Yawning Man was the sickest desert band of all time. You’d just be up there in the desert, everybody’d just be hanging, partying. And they’d show up in their van and just, mellow, drag out their shit and set up right about the time the sun was goin’ down, set up the generators, sometimes they’d just go up there and drink beers and barbecue. Sometimes it would be a scene; sometimes it would be very intimate. It was very casual and loose and everybody would like, while they’re playing, everyone would just lounge around. They were kinda like a house band. It wasn’t militant like Black Flag. It was very drugged, very stone-y, it was very mystical. Everyone’s just tripping, and they’re just playing away, for hours. Oh, they’re the GREATEST band I’ve ever seen.- Brant Bjork
