just seen this thread, ill copy a short list from 1 of my profiles
Killswitch Engage, Between The Buried and Me, A Girl A Gun A Ghost, Arch Enemy, 100 Demons, Arsis, A Perfect Circle, Opeth, Brand New, Broken, Fingertight, High On Fire, Avenged Sevenfold, TOOL, Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, Megadeth, Black Sabbath
Sublime, Seth Chapla and The Seth Chapla's, Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, Long Beach Shortbus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, God Is An Astronaut, Tyler Read, Army Of Anyone

they are paragraphed by the type of style/sound. the first 1 is harder shit, 2nd is more chill style obviously with sublime leading the way, and 3rd is more funky style
there is so much music out there nowadays is hard to keep up, threads like this are good to get some recommendations.
i'm not real into the screaming shit but a couple of the bands i listed do use it along with singing, and their music is good enough to deal with it. killswitch engage is a great example of that, so is between the buried and me. both great bands with some crazy guitar work.
metallica was my fav band growing up so i was into shit that required more skill as opposed to simple shit like nirvana.

Everyone should check out the music industry forum and browse through the random album/band/song thread. There is some good material in there.
i also suggest everyone to check out Wax on Radio. They broke up, but the only cd (Exposition) they ever made is great front to back. I just got one of my "I only like rap" friends into rock today through them, so check em out (cool story bro).
