I'm really liking the 30/30 series espn has been putting out. The documentary shed a lot of light on the back story to Ricky Williams. I thought it was kinda fucked up when they talked about how his dad was making him take naked pics of him with the Polaroid and he told his mom and she found a pic. No wonder he was unstable and avoided his own kids.

I also thought his spiritual views on life were very intriguing. Its rare to see someone who is in a position where they have millions of dollars in front of them for the taking, and then they pass up the money to pursue a voyage of self searching.

He seemed to be very smart tho especially with his plans for after football going into medical school and also utilizing his yoga skills he learned when he was away from football.

My views on him changed a lot after seeing this. He doesn't seem as selfish as I thought the media had portrayed him to be.

A couple of my co-workers talking about this the other day. They were clowning the name of it though. Talking about "They should should call it 420: The Ricky Williams Story." I thought that was kind of funny lol.

I like what his coach from the CFL team was saying. He said Ricky is one of the nicest person he met. He also said the power of the US media can tear a person down and just because he isn't doing what everyone else is doing, automatically makes him a weirdo. Not his exact words but somewhat in those lines. Watching this documentary did change my perspective on him.

Everyone who thought he was just a lazy pothead will change their minds about him when they watch this.

I had no idea he wanted that first contract to be incentive based so he can earn his paychecks. Its funny how college kids want these fat contracts with as much garnetted money as possible before stepping on the field...got respect for Ricky now.
