One Thang is a rapper from Richmond (i'm pretty sure) on the Hoodfellaz label, Play To Win Records. the reason i picked this shit up, i aint gon lie, is cuz the Jacka and Hustalah is on it, plus it has some Young Al and Hoodfellaz, and im a fan of all these rappers. when i actually soaked it i realized this shit is actually a quality release, wit bangin beats, coo music to party to, and just got my money's worth. he doesnt have the most complex lyrics, he doesn't bring much new to the table (but he does have a tight ass voice), but his shit knocks and i can respect it for what it is. the producers were'nt listed in the panels, so here goes..

1. Intro
-this is just a beat, and then some1 talkin just sayin play to win presents one thang, givin it up for the bay, etc.

2. Down-N-Dirty ft. Kaveo of the Click
-cool ass beat on this shit. One Thang's voice is real unique, it kinda reminds me of some1 from the south, but it is kinda scratchy. This beat is dope, it has a party feel to it, and they are spittin about gettin wit hoes. One Thang spits first with a cool lil verse, then the chorus and Kaveo spits a tight verse. the chorus is tight "we gettin down and dirty/ any girl between 18 and 30/ so get off the wall.. i said get off the wall.." cool track to kick this shit off wit.

7.5/10

3. Flawless: Part I
-This beat is cool, its kinda up tempo. the first verse is tight, but the 2nd one is tighter. "so much game i need to win the heisman" the chorus isn't that tight, but you can definatly nod your head to it. the thing i like about this CD, is the background vocals make his voice sound hell of different, but it sounds tight as fuck. another tight track. there is some tight singing towards the end too.

7.5/10

4. Pass Right By ft. Snakeyes
-this beat has a southern feel to it, One Thang spits first with some tight lyrics. he doesn't really spit a verse but its like an intro few bars. Snakeyes is tight. "everytime u see me/ go blind like stevie" One Thang's voice really got me knockin this shit "now bounce bounce bounce bounce wit me/ back in high school you was the freak of the week" dope song.

8.0/10

5. Da Da Da Da
-this is another club track, beat has some big bass wit some piano and shit. One Thang spits some lyrics about bitches and just everything.. chorus is kinda boring, so is the beat and the lyrics. not really feelin this track too much.

5.0/10

6. Heaters ft. Jacka, Hustalah, Johnny Cash and Young Al
-this beat is fuckin tight. it has a weird like string type instrument, with a medium paced beat.. shit is coo tho. theres a chorus at first then the Jacka spits a *non recycled* verse! its a tight one too! "its the jacka hoe.. and i dont wanna wanna be a rappa no more.. gotta pack the calico everywhere i go.. in the car in the hood at the show.. smokin rope in the lo wit my wetter" Young Al spits next and he spits a cool verse but it isnt his best and he gets off paced a couple times. not really feelin his shit. One Thang spits a verse, then Hustalah. Hustalah spits sick as shit on this shit. "its the first day of school and im fitted, matter fact i dropped out, but im still fitted" dopest song on the CD

9.0/10

7. Sneaky Bitch
-this shit is just a skit about some fool walkin in on his girl fuckin. its stupid.

8. Jockin
-i like this beat, it kinda sounds like a smoov-e beat or somethin, but then theres a couple scratches, and the drums are tight too. the whole thing is about how he's not jockin hoes and shit and about stuck up hoes. im feelin the concept. "but you not gonna attach no strings to my back/ smoke up all my sack, drink up all my yac" pretty cool track.

7.5/10

9. Money ft. Levitti, YS and Johnny Cash of the Hoodfellaz
-chill beat, Levitti is perfect on this shit. this sounds like a beat that the Click would use or somethin. Johnny Cash spits first and he comes clean "i blow niggas/ all ya murders be attempts" YS is next, i personally cant stand his voice. its all squealy and shit.. but the Hoodfellaz joint was tight, i dont kno tho. Levitti goes good on this song. he sings a bunch at the end, and its chill as fuck. feelin this shit.

8.0/10

10. In It ft. K-9
-this beat is pretty tight, its upbeat with big bass and clap and shit. K-9 is pretty coo, he sounds kinda like Pat Rich from Smoov-E's camp. This is an alright song, chorus is kinda bunk.. and the raps arent the shit.

5.5/10

11. Freaky Ho's
-just a skit.. stupid..

12. Something
-this is one of the tightest beats on this shit. has some spanish guitar and some symphony like strings. THIS IS A DOPE ASS SMOKE SONG!! one of the best smoke songs i have heard in a long time.. chorus is ill. "somethin for you... to get high too.. now pass it arounnddd.. puff puff puff hit it hit hit.. puff puff puff hit it hit it" the way they spit that shit is sick. "in the carribean, smokin J's wit the Lybians" bangin.

9.0/10

13. Must Be
-this is another sick beat. hard to explain how the beat is, but its tight. One Thang spits kinda cool on here.. the chorus sounds like Timbaland is on it.. thats kinda who One Thang suonds like.. kinda boring song tho.

6.5/10

14. Movin On ft. Snakeyes
-this beat is pretty chill.. got that laid back feel. Snakeyes spits first, and it is a cool verse. the chorus is tight.. has some singin and shit.. the whole concept is about trustin hoes and shit.. Snakeyes spits another verse. One Thang spits 3rd and he comes pretty clean. pretty cool song.. not the shit.

6.5/10

15. Da Da Da Da (remix) ft. Mr. Mixx, Johnny Cash, Snakeyes, Double O
-this remix has the same basic beat as the original. There is some Kay Slay wanna be sayin shit on it. its Mr. Mixx, he spits first and hes pretty wack. i woudlnt even call it spittin.. just sentences that all haev bitch at the end of it. Johnny Cash comes tight on this tho "money make the freaks wanna flirt-a/smoke a couple blunts then put the freak in service" Snakeyes comes kinda weak. One Thang is clean tho..

6.5/10

16. Outro ft. E-Money, 100 Degree's
-same beat as the intro, just some phone call type shit.. stupid. then they give some shout outs to the burg, the O, frisco.. etc..

aight overall if you are look'n for an album that you can play over and over again and never get tired of, this isnt it. this is for the most part some party music, some shit you can slap in your ride or whatever. the production is cool tho, and the features are on point. One Thang himself has a tight ass voice, and hey, talent!

songs i skip usually: #1, #5, #10, #14, #15
best tracks: #2, #6, #12

overall grade: 6.5/10
