WOW, I don't know what to say. I've known personally Woodie since his first album came out and he's always been cool to me. He was the first person I ever interviewed for a magazine. I would go on to interview him several more times over the years. He was very straight forward in the causes that he rode for, he knew what he stood for. I did the artwork on his last album to drop, Northern Expozure Vol. 7, and we were about to start working on his new Woodie "Life $toriez Vol. 2" album artwork. This is a real shock. Too many people dying in a short period of time.

Known Wood for many years too, I've been in touch with him a lot lately, we were going to put out this compilation together. I know he had a lot of things going on, his last email to me a few days ago let me know that things were fucked up for him, I wished him our best and that was that. I'm extremely sad for him that he felt this was the only way but I don't know all the details. This was an extremely good dude, very humble, generous and an all around stand up guy, hopefully he is remembered as such.

The reason I originally joined the siccness was because of the ECCR forum. Damn. I'm gonna miss him. He was a great artist.

I remember back in the day I'd used to listen to woodie all the time, and I'd never knew who the fuck he was.... me and my homies would str8 mash to the Northern Expozure Volume 1, and not know shit about it...

I downloaded the shit back in the day cuz of course I can't find any of his shit up here in canada, I soon found out the tight shit we wer elistening to was woodie from east bay.

I owe woodie for the tight feelings back in the day while rollin to his shit....RIP wood, norte sidin 4 life.
