Who really feels that just because you happen to be of a certain race and you rap, it's a must you let it be known in your music?

I mean being that if you happen to be latin (for instance), you should throw a couple of words in spanish to your flow?

IMO, I don't think it's a must to encorporate any slang or whatever to let the listener know you are of a certain race.

Being that I happen to be latino, I've gotten my share of shit from a few (in my time), because they feel I don't represent as a Mexican making rap music.

Funny thing is, I happen to be half Cuba half Boricua LOL!!!!

You don't have to.

Sometimes you gotta let the people know so they can get an understanding of who you are.

"it's not about where you from it's where you at"

- True, but knowing where you from can give people a better understanding of who you are and what you represent.

what if you was only at where you are at because of where you are from?

- Just don't force it out if you don't have it.

I wouldn't expect you (GEMINI) to represent anything for me...we're not the same. The 'latino' doesn't mean shit to me; for example, while I liked his music, I'm not one of the dummies that claim Big Pun as one of 'ours'...he wasn't Mexican.

I don't knock people for what they're doing, and I feel if you're doing what you enjoy, don't let others knock your for 'not repping them' right; let them get out and rep themselves.
