Chinatown, North Beach (Italian), the Mission (Mexican), the Embarcadero (Seafood and shit).

Chinatown and North Beach are just a skip away from each other.

Mentioning restaurants worth dining in the city and oakland could go on forever lol.
If youre money is right and you like the california cuisine, Gary Danko at Fishermans Wharf is fucking amazing. If your traveling with someone special you could really make a night out it. Gotta roll with 5 course though so you can taste the whole menu. I think they got a website you should check it out.

If you like soul/southern grub Hard Knox might be up your alley. Located in the dog patch 2526 3rd St street (next to 22nd). Real easy to get to from Caltrain, next to the hood but not there yet. Think they got a 2nd location on Clement. Anyone know?

You strike me as someone who would wanna check out haight st and they have some really good affordable daytime food. Just don't cop out and get a slice of pizza, hit up lower haight for some bomb thai, american or mexican.
