Too bad this game's not saleing as well as it should.. I guess THQ even considered this game a failure before it was even released, just based off pre-orders..
i mean i was gonna pre-order it.. but i decided to preorder prototype instead cuz i only had 5 bucks and prototype came with some action figure and map lol.. jus figured i'd buy red faction when it dropped..

Alright so before work i wanted to try out the multiplayer in this game.. and its safe to say this game has the most impressive and fun multiplayer i've ever played.. And i didnt even get into the Destruction modes, i jus played 3 rounds of deathmatch and i'm SOLD.. I love all the backpacks.. You got a jet pack, that hoves you around.. you got a rocket pack that shoots you straight up in the air hella high.. you got the stealth pack that'll turn you invisible.. you got the speed pack which'll make you run hella fast.. the damage pack that'll increase you're damage.. and a few other ones.. my favorite bein the rocket pack, cuz if shits goin down in a buildin i can jus hit the left bumper and smash thru the roof and dip!
I only played two maps.. Quarantine and Dust bowl i think it was.. Quarantine was HELLA dope.. You can rocket pack up on the roof and jus cap foo's, but they can also blow up the buildin from under you or rocket on the roof and get you too.. Theres a duck and cover system (which imo dosnt work to well) but it dosnt really matter because likley anything you're takeing cover with will be gone in a few seconds..
Man.. Everything compliments eachother so good in this game.. It all mixes together beautifully.. And no backpack seems more powerful then the other.. They really balanced everything out so well in this game.. Fuck, as y'all can tell i'am LOVEING this game.. Seriously this games got me sayin "Gears Of War Who?" haha

it may not be the best game in the world but i'll be damned if it isnt the funnest
the backpack system is genius. so balanced. there isnt one backpack that overpowers another. there are just certain backpacks for certain situations. combined with great weapons and the best destructible enviroments ever. you have one fun ass game
my new favorite game type is siege. where one team has certain building they have to destroy and the other team has to defend/rebuild them. you take turns being on each side. attacking team is so much fun, just running through their shit with the sledgehammer, watching huge silos come crashing down. real visceral experience

At the moment i'd say yeah.. I love Gears Of War 2, but its been like 2 months since i've played it.. I know i'm gonna be stuck on this games Team Anarchy and Anarchy for a minute.. I havent played any others, because im a deatchmatch kinda guy.. But they all seem hella fun if thats you're thing..
For me the deathmatch modes are top knotch in this game.. the back packs are hella dope and like Jake said none seem over powered, their balanced so perfectly.. games hella fun

Jus got the 3rd hammer, or the spike stick lookin thing.. And i unlocked the EDF Specialist the cammo lookin dude he looks hella dope haha.. I saw some dude who was an Alien lookin Character in Raider colors haha he said hes like the 3rd to last character to unlock, and instead of usein a sledgehammer he had a paton stick lol..
