I plan to get one soon, but don't know what brand to get and what to look for really.. Price ain't no thang to me.. any suggestions on what to get?? What are the fastest speed out there nowadays?

ya I got a nec, Im thinkin of sellin this one cause its a 4x +R burner and +R is compadible with about 83% of dvd players where as if i had a DUAL +/- burner the - is compadible with 93% of players out there according to vcdhelp.com

That's a helluva deal, I got a refurbished sony DRW for $65 shipped on ebay, been workin good for me.

I got this one as well about 3 weeks ago. It works like a charm. I haven't had any problems with it what so ever. Can't pass up a deal like that. I just realized though, I thought it was dual layer? It doesn't say any where?
