whats yall record again?
And?J-Rich's team record is just AS bad...what the FUCK is your point???

Like i said...the line between "great skilled basektball player" and "a player who makes a difference on a team" is blurred as what an "All-Star" is....

We all know Ray Allen is a superstar....but because his team is below .500...hes NOT a good player????Cut the crap...

Against the good teams(San An,Denv,Det,Ut,LAC,Pho,Dall,NJN,Ind,Mia,Clvd)
Ray Allens PPG jumps to 26.8,Richardson DROPS to 20.3.You gotta do more than hit up Charlotte for 50,then disappear for 10 against the Spurs Rich.Maybe next year.

Nah, the game don't matter, but that wasn't the point of this thread. The point of the thread was that Ray Allen didn't belong on the All Star Team.
Why?

If we are goin by the "make your team better" version of "deserving All-Star selection"...than half of the EASTERN CONFERENCE ALL-STARS shouldnt have been playin in that game...LOL...CMON NOW!!!!

Ask the cat that started the thread why...

Ray Allen shouldn't have made the All Star team because Carmello Anthony is having a WAY better year than Ray Allen.

We're not talking about the Eastern Conference All-Stars though. We're talking about the West and Ray Allen. So your point is ...?

Ray Allen is having a Ray Allen year...so he should be PUNISHED for that???

Look..the Sonics could have Jordan from '93 and STILL be under .500...so dont hold a shitty team against him...thats hot ass garbage...

ANd the point is...the arguement of why All-Stars get selected...either they good players...or they make their TEAM good...ie all those damn Pistons bein on there...knowin damn well only 2 outta them 4 shoulda been on there....but they got VOTED on there cus they are a great TEAM together...THATS my point...

BUt for arguements sake...lets compare their numbers...shall we??

Carmelo:
26 pts
5.3 rpg
2.7 ast
.462% fg
.223% 3pt
1.26 stl

Ray:
24.6 pts
4.2 rpg
3.3 ast
.443% fg
.394% 3pt
1.52 stl

Yeah...WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better year than Ray...

Bottom line

Nuggets:
29 - 26 - 1st in their division

Sonics
20 - 34 - 4th in their division (same division)

You act like Melo got Scottie Pippen on his team or something. They lost Nene early in the season, Marcus Camby is injury prone, Kenyon Martin is injury prone and shows up when he wants to .. Melo is the reason why they're above .500 right now. He's had more of an impact (on a winning team) than your little stat comparison will show.

And those stats show that Melo is having a better season, also.

More points and rebounds, and a higher field goal percentage.

I'm glad Ray made it though, Carmelo's a crybaby.

So your wit the "make your team good" theory for makin the All-Star team....

So you just backed my point...half Eastern Conf All-Stars shouldnt have been playin on the squad...cus there is only a handful of teams over .500 in the East...so cut the crap....

Denver ALSO has a better coaching staff....BY IONS...and even WITH those injuries..the Nuggets STILL has a better squad then Seattle...so whats YOUR point???

Thanks for makin me right....:)

Melo scores 1.6 more points, 1.1 rebounds and .019% better shooting...and Ray is shooting .171% better beyond the arc,is getting .26 more steals a game and is passin the ball .06 more times a game....cmon dude those differences arent even worth MENTIONING....

If this was a vote for MVP between Melo and Ray Allen, Carmelo would win. It's the same logic - they're not going to vote someone MVP who's team is having a losing season.

You're killing me with this Eastern Conf squad stuff.

Your point isn't valid because #1) The starters are selected by the fans and #2) Out of the seven reserves, only 2 come from sub .500 teams.

Melo is still carrying those cats. That's my point. He deserved the spot over Ray Allen. He's having a better year and his team is having a better year. Simple.
