They're under contract, probably mulit-album deal. So unless they want their albums pushed back a couple years they kinda gotta do what 50 says.
"gotta follow your sargeants directions, or get your ass pumped wit ha smith & wesson"

and to think these cats where making classic hip hop records when 50 cent was still on the street... sad era for real :***( its been 5 years since i fucked with any mobb deep music

Real talk.

50 a good businessman, but a fake ass hood cat it seems like.

I give it 5 years max before the whole G-Unit camp gets old... regardless of who's on there. Just like all the other shit that gets played out. You can only feed the mainstream dumbass' so much shit before they need a different flavor of... well, shit.

<Mobb Deep only decent song was Quiet Storm, and most anybody could have gone platinum with that beat, that beat is the reason Mobb Deep actually rings a bell. 50 Cent- AWARD FOR SLAVEMASTER OF THE YEAR!

Yeah Mobb Deep alway had those decent scarface/mafia type beats back in the day. Shook Ones part 2 was actually as close as they came to a classic. I never was a Mobb Deep fan, and as far as their personal ish, I jus leave it alone and let the music talk.

As close as they came? :ermm:

Ask ANY true hip hop head (age 27 - 33) about that track and they'll tell you it is a CERTIFIED CLASSIC. That whole album was classic!

*storms out of room in disgust*

*yelling can be heard in the distance* These mufuckas don't know ANYTHING around here!

Who made the rule that only 27-33 old rap listerners have credit to speak an opinion. I know dudes 30 that say they are real hip hop heads and say there top rappers are Nelly, 50 cent, and pretty much whatervers on TRL top 10. Im 22, and I think Iv'e listened and been around long enough to speak on shit. That Shook Ones Pt 2 is a good song, but That whole style is just not what Im into at all, I respect Mobb Deeps 2 hits and thats kind of where it stays. They sell a good amount of records so they got to be something right, I just don't see it/

You don't have to see it. The consensus in the hip hop community is that Shook Ones Pt II was a hit. This is the song that made Mobb Deep relevant.

Pretty simple.

^^Fair enough. I really think that right about when 2pac dissed them they lost a lot of fans. 2pac exposed them in a few songs and some interviews. Correct me if Im wrong but hasn't Mobb Deep been signed to G-unit for about a year, and they have yet to do anything but make appearences in 2 or 3 G-unit videos. If thats the case, its just kind of strange, such a major label singing you and you havent even put out a single/

It's not strange. It's how the music business works. You can spend years recording, but unless you feel you have a hit on your hands to present to the public, you won't put nothing out. 50 Cent damn near signed all of New York free agents to G-Unit - sometimes it takes time to develop shit the way you want to.

Mobb Deep was on the Outta Control Remix (50 Cent). They have a video out now for 'Have A Party' which is off of the Get Rich or Die Tryin soundtrack.
