Man gone with all that bullshit. Yo square ass don't want to see the Raiders get better so gone with all that jock talk.
Let me tell you something.. This is a fuckin message board. None of us work for the NFL, so anything we discuss in here is strictly for conversation. You act like I'm trying to pursuade the raider organization not to draft your boyfriend Russell, when the truth is I'm discussing real ways for your whack ass squad.. Let me rephrase that, for the whack ass squad that you just became a fan of last year, to get better. Why would I bother pursuading fans of the raiders that drafting Russell is a bad idea? You fuckers don't matter to the raiders so what would be the point of me having to convice you guys?

Give me a fuckin break.

I'd rather see them blow off trade offers like this and go ahead and draft Russell so they can be in the shitter for another 3 years for sure, maybe another 5-10 years if he busts. That would be my preference for the raiders. So let's make this clear: I want the raiders to draft Russell. Anytime I say something would be smarter is because IT WOULD BE SMARTER. It's not necessarily what I, as a Niner fan, would want them to do, but IT WOULD BE SMARTER.

So get the fuck outta here with that "you don't want to see the raiders get better" shit. If they made a trade like this they would be better. But unfortunately for them, their owner is about as dumb as you are.

How many teams usually trade their number one overall pick? And think before you answer.
How many teams are actually offered a good deal like the speculated one in this thread? That's right, none. If any other team were offerred something like this for their number one pick you best believe they would take it, especially since they'd only move 3 slots back in the first round of a draft full of talent.

Tony said:
Hella muthafuckaz talked that shit about Vince Young but he won rookie of the year and when he started he lead his team to like an 8-5 record.
Your boyfriend Russell is no Vince Young.

Tony said:
Eli Manning has led the Giants to the playoffs...
Eli Manning was the definitive number one selection. He's better than Russell, and he always will be. There was no question in that draft who the number one pick would be. This draft is not the same, nobody knows who the number one could be. Shit, it could be a fuckin WR.

Tony said:
look at Phillip Rivers, Carson Palmer, Big Ben.
No, what you need to look at is their surrounding casts. They have real squads who play well together, not disgruntled receivers and underachievers.

Tony said:
Look at Alex Smith... whoops that asshole is on his way to being a bust huh...
Yeah, leading them to a better record every single year.. That would be considered a bust.

GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE.

Last year was his first full year as a starter, and the first time he had a decent squad to work with. If their defense had shown up in the first half of the season, they would have been a playoff team.

So yeah, I guess bust is the word.

What a fuckin idiot.

Tony said:
The only reason the punkass 49ers drafted Alex is because no team was interested in trading up to get that bum.
The 49ers had no interest in trading the pick. Nolan had his sites set on Alex Smith the whole time. You need to learn the situation before you speak on it. This is why you're such a joke around here.

Now that wouldn't be too bad... because we could still address our qb situation.
No shit you stupid son of a bitch.

I'd still take Russell with the first pick but this would be the second option or plan B.
Yeah, even though Quinn will be better, you'd rather take Russell because you're on his fuckin nut sac.

Look around. REAL raider fans are willing to cope with someone other than Russell. The fake ass bandwagoner is the one who wants Russell so bad.

Yep! But the idiot 49ers fans can't see it coming. They don't want to see the Raiders do better. It's only obvious the Raiders are taking Russell.
Russell will be a bust.

Whatever Fatal... we'll see what the Raiders do. That number one overall pick is too valuable. And about Al Davis being dumb? You need to pay your respects, kid. This man has been involved in football and calling football shots before you were born. I see the same thing that Al Davis sees in JaMarcus Russell and that's potential...John Elway like when he came out of college. Yeah he could be a bust..... but what happens if he isn't a bust?

GM's (General Managers) gamble... some gambles pay off and then some dont. This is one gamble that could pay off. That's why the Raiders will select him with the number one pick overall in the draft.

So Tampa might as well holla at Detroit to see what they want to do with that number 2 pick.... because the Raiders are staying put and drafting Russell.

How long would it take for us to tell? 1st, 2nd, 3rd year? He'll be aight as long as he doesn't pull a 1 TD to 11 INT's.. the Raiders will be straight.

How do you know this? LOL, you talk as if you're actually part of the organization. No one here is trying to predict what the Raiders are going to do, we're all giving our opinion on what they SHOULD do. How do you see the same thing that Al Davis sees in Russell? Have you been scouting him too?? Have you gone to see him workout? Did he used to date your sister in high school? You talk as if you know these things!

This is true, but does that change the fact that he's a fuckin idiot present-day? NO.

He's responsible for the raiders having the worst record in the league since 2002. The same way the Yorks were responsible for the Niners being tied for the worst record since 2002 until this past year. The difference is Al Davis thinks he knows what he's doing because he's done things in the past while the Yorks know nothing about football and they turned the team over to their COACH. That's why the Niners are getting better, and until Al Davis lets go of his control of that team they will blow ass.

Quinn's stock falling, but not in Kiffin's eyes

Quinn's stock falling, but not in Kiffin's eyes
By Jason Jones - Bee Staff Writer
Published 12:00 am PDT Wednesday, April 18, 2007

The other quarterback coach Lane Kiffin gushes over visited Raiders headquarters Tuesday, as team officials hosted Brady Quinn at the team's facility in Alameda.

The Notre Dame star's visit came after LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell's visit last week and Georgia Tech receiver Calvin Johnson's the previous week.

Quinn was the consensus top pick before the 2006 college season and a favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. Since, however, questions have been raised about his ability to win big games and whether his impressive stats are courtesy of a quarterback-friendly system.

As those questions have been asked, Quinn has seen his stock drop. Some wonder if he might fall out of the top five.

Kiffin didn't express any reservations about Quinn at last month's NFL owners meetings in Phoenix.

"I've had some discussions with him, and he's extremely intelligent," Kiffin said. "I'm really excited about Brady, and I like him a lot."

Russell and Johnson are considered the favorites to go to the Raiders with the first overall pick in the NFL draft on April 28.

Published reports have Quinn, an Ohio native, not wanting any part of the Raiders, preferring to land in Cleveland, which has the third pick.

Kiffin, familiar with Quinn from coaching against Notre Dame while at USC, said Quinn was at his best when rallying his team.

"He's been doing it for two years, and he's real exciting because he's a big-time competitor and it comes out in him," Kiffin said.

Quinn isn't regarded as the athletic freak Russell is. At 6-foot-4, 227 pounds, he has good size, a strong arm and has shown the ability to move in the pocket. Russell, however, is bigger (6-6, 260), is said to have a stronger arm and also is mobile. Quinn is considered more NFL-ready, having played his last two seasons under former New England Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis. Russell operated more from the shotgun.

Quinn threw for 7,345 yards with 69 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in two seasons under Weis. But Kiffin said having played for Weis doesn't mean Quinn is more prepared to play in the NFL.

"I don't think that would be fair," Kiffin said. "I think just because Charlie Weis coached him, it's very important in how well Brady's done. But I don't think it's a fair assessment to say he's more NFL-ready."

Way to keep it real Kiffin. He's not going to let JaMarcus Russell get dogged! For those of you who care... check this out:
