I am just shaking my head... "I am in" with those who say Al is the problem with the Raiders. As a fan I didn't want to believe it and tried to play it cool as long as I could but after this has gone down, I can no longer back Al Davis. The Raiders won't win as long as he is calling the shots. And why hasn't Kwame Harris been cut? I think he's been playing the worse out of all of our free agent signings? Al threw away 8 million dollars and a few draft picks. End of discussion!

Seriously man WTF is this dude's problem? Someone needs to help this old dude out. I would have least let D. Hall finish the season damn... after all, he was leading our team in INT's. Routt is worse in coverage than Hall is. I don't think Hall was playing bad enough to get released. Now we lose a cornerback, 8 million dollars, and 2 draft picks. Man who in the hell told Al Davis to release him?

Give it up Al... I am the last man on this board who had Al's back and I can no longer show any support for this dude.

here we go again...budget management....no surprise really though...Davis doesn't want to have to steal money from the California tax-payers again, and he obviously is struggling for cash (just look at the ridiculous clothing and questionable hygiene he practice).....

Team executive John Herrera denied reports Hall had already been waived Wednesday morning, but said Hall's status would be resolved later in the day.

Hall to be released Wednesday

The Oakland Raiders and cornerback DeAngelo Hall completed the paperwork Tuesday night, and the move will become official today.

In the first of what could be a flurry of releases, the Raiders will waive Hall, freeing them from the $16 million in injury-guaranteed bonuses they would have had to pay him next season.

Instead, Hall will have gotten money for almost nothing — $8 million for eight games, a nice, tidy $1 million per game salary.

Hall will be placed on waivers, where any team will have the right to claim him and his contract. If he goes unclaimed, Hall will be free to sign with any team, and he will want it to be with a playoff contender.

Teams interested in him during the offseason were the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins and New York Giants. New England has also been in the market for cornerbacks.

Hall is expected to resurface quickly while the Raiders begin rebuilding yet again. Hall will be the first high-priced player released. But he will not be the last.

Damn that was a short stint and a loss of a 2nd round draft pick. Its more then just one player its the whole system Ryan does not know how to use the guys he has and puts players in tough positions week after week. Not defending Hall's bad play but a curtain call after 8 games I dont remember the last time I seen that happen to such a high profile traded player not that it hasnt but wow. Javon and Harris should have been first out the door and Kelly should give some money back cuz he knows he didn't earn it. I dont think Kelly is a bad player just no where near worth what his contract is paying him makeing him a giant target if they are going to cut thier loss's. And Curry can see the door well there at it. Fuck it lets gets some fans out the stands to play cuz they would play with more heart then 80% of the team right now. Maybe ask Rice and Brown to come back cuz at least they could hold on to the ball and run correct routes. I would also settle for Davis having a massive stroke and going into a long term coma. Maybe then we could move forward as an organization.
