I hope its not true just because we need someone to stay with the franchise and build something.....if we keep changing coaches & systems every year or two we will never have a winning season

sorry but this is funny to me, you say people believe anything they hear

then you say kiffin hasnt even been contacted by arkansas, but isnt that something you heard?

it goes both ways buddy, and i believe the story. As much as i hate the raiders, i have to say that its foul for a coach to let a story like this leak during a season. How are you supposed to get your guys to keep giving a 100% on the field, at this point he has no credibility with the team. and btw, no one wanted this job to begin with, now kiffin knows why....Big Al is calling the shots there, not him.
There is a difference this story is a rumor, and on the other hand kiffin himself said that he hasn't been contacted by arkansas. BTW here is what kiffin had to say when asked about the arkansas rumor.

Lane Kiffin's apparent strategy regarding potential college openings?

The less said, the better.

Here is how Kiffin addressed the rumor that has him "interested" in replacing Houston Nutt at Arkansas:

Q: Arkansas newspapers (and an ESPN radio report) have you as a candidate for their job. How do you respond to that?

Kiffin: That's news to me.

Q: Have you been contacted by anyone from Arkansas?

Kiffin: No.

Q: Have any other colleges with openings attempted to reach you or your agent?

Kiffin: No. You can call him and ask him.

Q: Any fond memories of Arkansas?

Kiffin: I was three years old.

That last question was tongue-in-cheek _ Kiffin was barely out of diapers when his father, Monte, coached under Lou Holtz at Arkansas.
